Guys, first off, Kiffin did a hell of a coaching job by even having us in that game. You can say what you want about Kiffin being a weasal and such, but give credit where it is do...what he did with Crompton and UT's offense that season was amazing.

Not only were we in that game, but we actually outplayed them and had Saban guessing the entire time. You can't fault him for losing that one when he was the one that had us competitive in the first place. The call to kick the FG was reasonable considering Crompton's track record in clutch situations. An INT by Crompton in that situation and you would still be bashing Kiffin plus Crompton.

As far as the OP goes, you guys are giving him a really hard time. What he said sounded really stupid at first, but I can understand not liking a player on a personal level.....I have known some CFBs that I met and really didn't like at all. OP should have specified that he knew him in the first post, because it is retarded to give a player dirty looks based on his performance on the field...none of us have even made it to the college level. Well, I could of if I stuck with football in HS after sophomore year. :loco:

Haha.

It wasn't that Kiffin lacked confidence in the QB. He clearly stated his concern about the zebras throwing a flag for some invisible violation. You might remember the bad calls against other SEC teams on the verge of upsetting the Conference's big name money-makers. Bad officiating is a factor which an SEC coach must consider if his team is on the verge of an upset victory.

That may be true but you atleast take a shot at it. There was no way with his injury does he make that kick.

btw, DL had some unspectacular moments, but hanging the Bama game on him requires ignoring reality. Left side of the line completely collapsed, nobody would have made that kick.

"oh yeah, then what about the NC game?!!??! don't you just hate him for that!?!?" there were at least half a dozen other boneheaded plays in that game that contributed to the loss. best not to have your outlook on life and general demeanor depend on the success of 18-22yos. and adopting a cowardly, internet name-calling hostility toward a player because they screw up is just childish.

"oh yeah, well, I didn't like him for other reasons." and that needed to be posted to the VN? dumb, dumb, dumb op and followup. you should beg Freak to delete the whole thing.

For the record I am not blaming him for Bama. One of m posts back on some page I stated that. No1 could have made that kick with TC in his grille. I would really put the UNC game on him for the simple reason of if he makes the XP then its over. but I also know you really don't win or lose a game on one play also. i may have made a dumb choice on this topic but I know sports pretty well.

Shouldn't you be off having a dream that the Vols signed Jesse Scroggins, crunchimus ?

We all know how that ended... Beep beep, I hear the faildozer trying to back up
