Coaches can't play the game, but they sure as hell have immediate and powerful impact. To say otherwise would be an "ostrichwith head in sand statemnt". Put Fulmer at Bamma and Saban at Tenn and we beat your butts SOUNDLY.....gauranteed!! I stand by it and your athletes ARE'NT THAT GOOD, hoss.

5) start of 4th quarter, only 2 UT players held up 4 fingers, plenty of bama players did
That is the most overused thing. That means nothing I think its annoying. The need to notify everyone that they know what quarter is dumb.

Or, the players know that outside of UGA, they haven't played 4 quarters of football all season. Heck, they've really only played 4 quarters of football twice since the 2005 opener (Cal 2006 and UGA this year).

simply we got our butts handed to us. the onside kick was risky, but that set the tempo for the game. wouldn't surprise me if spurrier tries it.

I agree it's overused. When everyone does it, starting on the high school level, it doesn't seem as meaningful.

Ok...can't let you get away with that statement. You just got beat 41-17 by Alabama. Are you saying Saban single-handedly beat you 41-17 and our athletes had little to do with it? Fella...you may wanna wake up from your dream...we still draw some of the best athletes in the nation but you're telling me that the drubbing you just took was all coaching? As a former college player myself, let me explain something to ya...coaches put you in a position to win but your athletes win the game. "Think how bad Saban would have beaten Bammer with our athletes" is about the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard. You may wanna brush up on your football knowledge before making another stupid remark like that. Saban put our players in a position to win, John Parker Wilson and D.J. Hall
(TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Junior quarterback John Parker Wilson threw for 363 yards and three touchdowns against No. 20 Tennessee Saturday, leading the Alabama offense to a 24-point win over the Vols at Bryant-Denny Stadium, 41-17.

Wilson’s 363 yards gave the Hoover native his second 300-yard passing performance of the season, and for the sixth time this year senior receiver DJ Hall was his primary target. Hall caught 13 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in the game, setting the Alabama single-game record for catches.
just schooled Tennessee on gettin' it done. Don't mean to stir shi- fellas, but that made no sense whatsoever! Mike "Crimson White" Graham

I have watched most of Bama's games this year as a SEC fan, rooted for them to win over FSU. I knew you are on high after the win, but I hate to tell you Bama is very weak team. FSU held them to zero points and just dominated the team. They have barely won over weak teams and lost to poor teams. UT laid down for them, UTs D is very weak, but things will go back to normal after the lose to LSU.

Bama will be good in a couple of years after some good recruits from Saben, but they will not be at the end of this year.

Maybe they should hold up 1 finger to start the game, to signify it's the first quarter and to be ready for onside kicks.

Everytime I see Fulmer clapping after a bad play makes me want to go through the TV screen. What a STUPID THING TO DO:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Correction. Saban is a complete son of bitch. And if I know anything about the Capstone, it takes a complete SOB to just survive as the football coach at Alabama.

So it appears to me that Alabama and Saban are the perfect match.
Saban is a Bi#ch and Bama sucks , We just suck alot worse.

Let's be perfectly honest here. Most Alabama fans are completely stunned by the AL / TN game.

And now... It's been four days since the AL / TN game and there's one thing that I can't get my mind around. It wasn't Alabama that played remarkably well....

Why did Tennessee self destruct in the second half?

After a very productive first half, they stopped everything that was working (ie running Foster) and chose an entirely different path. This just doesn't make sense.

First of all, coaching had everything to do with that win last Saturday. You can type out stat after stat from that game for us all you want. Keep in mind though that conservative coaching breeds conservative players. It's easy for JPW to throw for 300+ yards against us when he has all day to pick out which receiver he wants to throw to(DJ Hall anyone?). Even a good secondary(one that isn't starting two true freshmen, a sophmore, and a senior that is playing like a BUM!) would give up that kind of yardage if the QB can stand there and go through every read he has on the field before even being able to hear a DL breathe.
Second, coaching gave you the opening onside kick. Any TN fan could have told you that the air was slowly deflating out of our balloon after that play was over. Yes our offense kept us in it for a half, but anyone could see that our whole defense couldn't stop one fat kid from getting to the kitchen for some cake.
Let's recap, examples coaching won that game for you: opening onside kick, going for it on fourth down, being "mad as heck" that you had to settle for a FG. Now examples that coaching lost the game for us: saying we were prepared for the onside kick but somehow not recovering it, not going for it on fourth down in a high scoring game, clapping after everything b/c that's all the emotion we know how to show, abandoning the running game when our TB was averaging 7+ yds/carry.
Like I said conservative coaching breeds conservative players, we don't have any players that have that "knock them down, stomp on their throat, and beat the sh*t out of them" attitude; b/c our "aw heck" coach doesn't have that attitude. Your coach does, and you saw that Saturday. Congrats, your $5mill/yr coach won you that game.
