I repeat: we have not clinched the EAST

I don't have a crystal ball, but I think it's important to understand that we are IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT, but in no way have we clinched a trip to Atlanta.

I gave you a like, for originality.

What exact purpose did this thread serve?

I don't think anyone on VN acctually thought we'd clinched the east in week 5. I think most people here are adept enough to know the technicality of the situation.

UT beat UF and UGA, giving us control of our own destiny. But if we lose two SEC games and UF wins out, they go in our stead. That's the technical description.

However, UT is undefeated after having beaten both of our biggest SECE rivals/challengers. UGA already has two SEC losses and showed a lot of life against us. They are a good team. UF struggled mightily against Vandy. Vandy! They have to play that improved-looking UGA team, who looks a LOT better than Vandy. They have to play an improved LSU that looks a lot better than Vandy. They have to play a good looking Arkie.

With one SEC loss and a loss to tie-breaker, their road is a LOT harder than UT's.

I'll repeat myself twice: (1) No one is stupid enough to claim we've clinched the East. (2) Exactly what did this thread accomplish?

Settle down, switch to decaf, and let some of the fanbase celebrate 5-0 with wins against our two biggest East rivals, and the head-up favorite to win the East.

Geez Louise...

florida plays lsu in the swamp. florida plays arkansas in that rural Deliverance-like backwoods hellhole known as arkansas, and the georgia game is in jacksonville, per usual. Somebody will need to beat florida, because it is likely that we will lose one of our next two games, and we could lose both. I'd be happy to win one of them.

If we split our next two and then win out, we are clinched.

Have we clinched the east yet?

Better question might be whether the op has unclenched yet?

It's not a committee decision but a SEC win-loss decision. Florida has a chance

Florida beat us last year and went to the SECCG, right?
If we had beaten them, we would have gone, right?

We beat them this year, so.............

Florida loses in the swamp!

LSU will run it down their throats...gator defense is banged up and donkey teeth will choke on the playcalling....JMO!
