I really need this board to move past the GA State game

It’s really easy to not have to read about posters thoughts on that .... uh ....first game of the season and actually still stay on the forum.
1. You can put any poster bringing up ... you know that team you hate to see in print ... on ignore. Shazam! The poster and his/her post vanishes forever. It’s like they never existed.
2. Even better, if some poster starts a thread about a certain really bad team from ... you know maybe the Atlanta area ... you can actually put that poster on ignore and the whole thread vanishes.

I’ve done both of these probably .... I don’t know ... seems like tens perhaps hundreds of times the past few seasons. My guess is upwards of 20% of those reading this post are on my ignore list and if they try to respond I’ll never see it. 🌈🦋☀️🌸🌸 Peace happiness and bliss to all my Volnation friends who agree with my every word. 😎

The best way to move past it is to win games. And that hasn't been happening
I’ve always wondered if you cheer for Tennessee except when they play the Gators? Personally, I’ve never despised UF like a lot of Vol fans even when the series was more competitive and prestigious. I used to love watching Florida vs LSU and Florida vs FSU, especially when Spurrier was there. Despised Bowden and free shoes U.

Many of this years UT graduates will have spent their entire lives without a single SEC Championship (last time 1998). Talking about the ass whoopings we've had and are going to get, are current and topical, talking about Championships, and NATYS, just seem like things that happened before they born.....

Yes, the loss is on the coaches. Yes, we are more talented than them and should not have lost. There is no excuse for it and it shouldn’t have happened. That being said, every thread I read on this board ends up with something about losing to GA State.

Mind-blowing fact: every time an underdog beats a better opponent, the team that was favored had better players. This is especially true when it’s a G5 underdog vs a P5 favorite.

Pruitt learned the hard way never to take an opponent lightly again. The way we played BYU the following week showed we are not a bad enough team to lose to a 2-win GA State, but it happened.

Can we be done now?
We didn't get surprised by an inferior team, we got our rear ends mashed by then. It's not like they beat us with a good effort play or something. They completely arse fornicated us. The score didn't even do the beating justice.

That’s pretty good stuff right there. Kareem Jabaar as an actor in one of the best slapstick comedies ever.
Have you ever seen the movie that inspired it (Zero Hour)? Serious movie but having seen Airplane first made it hilarious.

No but the connection would make sense. I think the whole premise of Airplane was to spoof all the disaster movies that came out during that time. I’ll check out Zero Hour.

You’ll crack up. Some of the dialogue from Airplane is taken straight from Zero Hour.

Wouldn’t be so hard to move on if it was just a fluke. We are terrible.

And they beat USC. The transitive property doesnt work in college football. Never has. Never will. Doesnt matter who beat who any given week. Each game is different. appy St beat UNC last week and UNC nearly best Clemson tonight. Think Appy St could hang with Clemson?
USC also is horrible

Would be a lot easier to chalk this up to a fluke of we weren't on the fast track to a 2 win season.

I’ll never get over that loss. Ever!
