Get mad all you want but whoever they hire I want that coach to bring Fulmer back to be Offensive Line Coach. There, I said it.

Let's hope our new coach knows X's and O's and makes our program relevant again

If the next coach is not Gruden there will be some negative blowback from twitter an maybe the media themselves depending on the hire. But just like last time, what happened after we had time to google Butch Jones? We accepted him looked for any and all positives an showed up 61000 strong at the spring game.My point is at the end of the day WHOEVER is hire as head coach at UT will have my full support and even though we won’t agree on a coach we all agree we want a championship.

Again, I don't think Davenport understands.. She really should shadow bamas pres and watch how the fb coach gets whatever he wants.. Academic exception on admission for 1, heck 7.8 players,,, Done! Change the policy on drug testing failed results from 3x and your out, to we just handle it internally and there is no max,,, DONE. Need a class that students, players want to major in, Done...

Beverly leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Most people on here wouldn't be satisfied if they could assemble a staff consisting of General Neyland, Knute Rockne, Bear Bryant, George Halas, Don Shula, Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi, Paul Brown, John Madden, and Jim Bob Cooter. They want Gruden, and I predict they will be disappointed whether or not they get him in the long run. U.T. fans are impossible to please. God himself wouldn't please them for long.

Hyperbolize much

Without actually being in the room during these conversations between Currie , BoT, and relevant boosters; I'd be willing to bet he is doing all he can to bring in the best coach money can buy. It may be all wrapped up and we're squirming over nothing . It may also be that the person(s) he is going after are serious divas that are impossible to come to a reasonable agreement with. I just don't get the vibe from Currie that he is going to settle for less unless that's all there is .

Assuming it is all wrapped up, everybody who believes that can sit back and relax for at least a week. Nothing to do with anyone being a "diva", but everything to do with nobody worthwhile leaving their current team until the regular season is over.

The fact he is not releasing anything, or even speaking to the media at all feels reassuring. But if it isn't wrapped up, Currie can't ask for Charles Manson's advice, so there is a positive.

Oh, I don’t think you can compare the last 5 years of Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, and Jones with anyone on your list. You are flat out lucky you still have a fan base with as much as what they have been through. It is really short minded on your part to get on here and criticize the victims that are being abused here.

If you caught the opening of 60 minutes last night, those people in Yemen are victims. Not a bunch of crying well fed wimps sitting in a damn football stadium.

Currie had better go for the throat in this hire..The fans are sick and tired of this playing it cheap crap...This had better leave us fans going " Wow I can't wait for the season to start"!

You realize that Alabama made several bad hires after the Bear retired, don't you? You also realize that Alabama hired several bad hires after Gene Stallings retired, right? After Bowden left Auburn, they had several bad hires. Also, LSU had several bad hires until they hired Miles. UGA had many bad hires in the early 90's thru the early 2000's. Florida had several bad hires after Spurrier left for the RedSkins.
I believe that all schools go thru a period such as this.

you are right on TNnative.

we are spoiled brats expecting much more than we deserve or have earned.

We gotta earn it!

Possibly the young man from Tennessee Tech could grow into the had coaching job at UT. Imagine what he could do with all the talent Jones stockpiled while he was here.
