I Predict Alabama...

Saban vs Fulmer. Roughly equal talent. No contest.

Coaching is now becoming evident that CPF doesn't have NFL Pro Bowl teams beating up on Dinardo, Hallman, and Dubose. The book on him has always been good recruiter mediocre coach...and now we're seeing that played out right in front of us.

Yep...since UT had such an impressive offensive showing against the mighty & powerful NIU Huskies we should now be a national contender...The Vols lose by 20 to GA and 14 to Bama. No miracle between the hedges and the Tide drowns PF.

I predict Alabama will come to Knoxville ranked #1. Texas is going to beat Oklahoma next Saturday.

Wow, hat! It surprises me that you are predicting a Texas victory over Oklahoma.

What brings you to that conclusion? Not being argumentative, just asking.

What on earth has anybody seen from us this year that makes you think we can upset Bama? They actually have a good coach and talent too. We barely beat NUI. Bama has beat two top 10 teams (at the time they played) this year.

I think Texas is vastly underrated. OU has had it too easy so far this season.

two best teams this year and this is just my opinion Missouri and Oklahoma...pretty impressive how Mizzou destroyed Nebraska on the road tonight...OU will be hard to beat this year as well...should be interesting if and when this teams get together

Only in the Big 12 championship, they do not play regular season this year.

Oddly enough, I was thinking exactly the same thing earlier today.

The only difference between 2005 and 2008 Texas thus far has been the lack of an early national spotlight game. But having Oklahoma and Missouri two straight weeks will be a challenge.

UTx remaining games 5 of 6 ranked

Oklahoma
Mizzou
Oklahoma state
Texas TEch
Baylor
Kansas

That's a tough road to travel.

Bama looked unstoppable one week and out of gas the next. I'm not sure which Bama team will show up in Knoxville.

UT over Bama? Please.

They will have to put up a graphic content warning at halftime. By the middle of the 3rd there will be more crimson than orange in the stands.

Post-game show: Fulmer thanks the fans for a great Vol Walk, promises to work like heck to take down the Vandy juggernaut.

niu held us to 13, auburn to 12, florida to 6.

Bama kills us!

Ole Miss beats them the week before anyway so they won't be #1.

Missouri was ahead of Bama in the Coaches Poll. I look for them to jump Bama in the AP.

Bama barely survived UK. Mizzou laid a 52-17 ass whipping on Nebraska....in Lincoln no less.

based on Fulmer always winning a game that he shouldnt ...like UGA last yr(or LSU the previous yr)..well I think UGA hands it to UT this yr..but then Phil will be backed bigtime against the wall and pulls off a huge win over Bama.

I think he got that win last night

what ever bama comes in as they will leave in a whole lot better shape, looking like world beaters. that just makes me sick to my stomach, but the truth is the truth.

Miss st looks like our best chance to win a conference game. Forget bama and georgia.

Wouldnt that be a fun matchup. Texas vs Alabama for the national title. After all the Major Applewhite leaving Bama for Texas stuff last year.

I hope so. Even in the talent and tradition rich SEC, we have played #1 only, what, a half dozen times? I'm guessing half of those have been at home.
