But I wish Crompton was a junior and had another year. I think we would be the favorites in the east coming into the year next year if he was at the helm. But thats not possible.

I am so proud of this kid and how he has turned things around this year. Big props to our QB.

The bipolar tendency of this site is amazing.

You read what the title of the post was?
No one saw Crompton turning his career around like this.
Is he Peyton Manning? Not even close but he is playing pretty well the last two games. This is more like the Crompton we all though we were going to see.

Does this give us hope for Nick Stephens or Nick Lamiason(sp)with a year of film study?

I'll be the first to admit that I've cringed in past games when he went back to pass...and yes, I've been critical...but to see this kid come on like he has is inspiring. I've always wanted him to succeed...who hasn't...but to see him start to play very solid is a joy.

I'll agree, with more coaching from this staff..he would do very well.

Thanks for hanging in, Cromp!

your right, as bad as i hate to say it...he has done a complete 360

I think you mean a 180...

But it has been a turnaround that no one expected. I only wish we had another shot at ucla and auburn. Can't believe we lost to those teams.

I too am very pround of the way JC has hung in there and is leading this team. Along the same thought process of JC being a jr, NS is a jr. Do you guys think that with Kiffin being there this year and working with him next offseason Stephens can lead this team to a SEC Championship? He showed some flashes last season. Or will Bray be ready to take the helm?

Fulmer gave in to the pressure and changed the qb, and things didn't work out well. (wyoming, uga, bama, etc)
props to CLK for being firm with his decision despite tremendous pressure from fans.

I am glad he has had a couple of good games but I still cringe every time he drops back to pass, like my child is on the ledge of a building.

I'm actually not cringing EVERY time he drops back to pass. I think that represents improvement.

lol i noticed that today, it was crazy. especially against the best D in the nation. i actually EXPECTED us to move it into field goal range after we recovered the kick.

Some of us did see this coming. Once the offense was in tune with each other, the production would improve. First there was an issue of the O-line. Then the WRs couldn't get their routes right. Then the WRs couldn't make the grabs on the correct routes. Now everyone's on the same page and we're seeing the Crompton that Kiffin promised in the offseason.

Kiffin will do the same with Stephens if he will get serious about the game.

I disagree. There's no hope for Stephens. He will never amount to more than a back-up. My eggs are in the Bray basket. He will have the time and practice necessary to put together a portfolio to rival Nick Stephens.
