I need ideas fast!

Here's the dilemma. Our friends we're going to the beach with, my buddy got admitted into the hospital, hopefully just for tonight. He has a bad infection from a bad tooth, and his whole head has swollen since yesterday. They may have to cancel, and the condo is in their name. We had insurance the whole time, so we'd get our money back. Still, I'm going somewhere if he's not better by tomorrow night. I so want to go where we have booked, but if not, we're trying to brainstorm a backup plan. Don't want Panama, and we'll have to do a hotel this short noticed. We're thinking Destin, St George, or treasure island below Clearwater. I'm off, daughter is off, and Tiffany is feeling good, so we've got to do something! Where's @Souce ! Thoughts? I do hope we get to stick with the original plans.

Nothing wrong with 30A. Seacrest was our old stomping ground and closer to you.

Just take the social precautions.

Isn't there a way where you could go to the condo that you had planned to go too even if your friends have to cancel?

joe, it’s been a minute or two since I’ve been there (18 years), but we stayed at Buccaneer Inn both times I’ve been there. No, it’s not a luxury place, but right on the beach and a pool in the middle of a horseshoe shape motel and a only couple of steps to the ocean and oh, not many tourists. Of course this has been several years ago.

His wife is the one who booked, and doesn't wanna just let us pay it all. She's weird, but she's my buddies wife so I have to deal with her occasionally😂

I'm still holding out hope they go, but he's definitely a hypochondriac. I'm not mocking him, his parents died about 2 weeks apart around his age. He's scared any time something happens, and he already told her he's scared he'll get down there and something happen.
