Seriously. September can't get here fast enough. I don't know if anyone else has felt this way, but for me, this has been the longest offseason ever. 36 more days.

I'm totally pumped. Outdoors BBQ's, football on TV, and bourbon. The fall is great!

I need it.

6-0 going into Tuscaloosa? Beat UF, and with the momentum that will give the team, and the off date for extra coaching and preparation, Id give the team a 40% chance of pulling wins against both UGA and LSU at home. But beating UF is the key.

9/3 Montana tbd
9/10 Cincinnati 3:30pm
9/17 @Florida 3:30pm
10/1 Buffalo tbd
10/8 Georgia tbd
10/15 LSU tbd

Granted, 3-3 is more likely than 6-0. But with so many games at home, and an early off date right in the middle of this slate, 6-0 isn’t totally unbelievable. The back half looks really tough with those games against @Bama USC, and @Ark all coming after the brutal October slate, and no rest. So we better be at least 4-2 after the first 6 because those three games will be really hard to win.

Yep I can't wait but must admit that this is going to be a very weird season for me.

My 84 year old father passed away last week and he's the man that raised me on UT football.

We even sang "Rocky Top" at the end of his memorial service. :td:

It's 'gonna' be strange following the Vols without him...but I've got to do it !!

There is no such thing as the off-season when you're a die-hard fan. My year-round football milestones:

1. Regular season
2. Post-season and all-star games
3. Signing day (week)
4. Spring practice/game
5. NFL Draft
6. Preview magazines come out (although less important in the internet age)
7. Media days
8. Reports from summer work-outs
9. Fall practice

There's always a Big Orange carrot out there to help pull you around the corner!

I will be happy When summer camp starts. But the worst thing is not having my friend and brother inlaw to talk with. We are both from Tennessee. and being Vol fans living in N. Ga. we get a lot of crap. He was 47 and i am 64. So i will just carry on the fight. He will be watching.I Know He Will
( Thank You I Needed To Get That Out ) :dance2:
