being considered a legit contender

starting the season ranked in the Top 20

watching NFL games and knowing both teams will have Vol players

knowing we will beat who we should beat.

knowing most of the teams we play we should beat and feeling like we have a got shot at the few that might be ranked ahead of us.

being ranked the entire season.

being thought of as a top team in the NCAA

not ever worrying about beating Vandy or Kentucky

not claiming "moral victories"

going to bowl games that matter

you?

Stop b****ing and moaning and be a champion of life!!! (blue font)😀😀😀

Do you also miss:

and the feeling of wondering if we can beat both Missouri and Vandy for a 6th win and bowl eligibility?

Do you miss the season ending in November and not watching your Vols play in the post-season?

What about the feeling of the NCAA hanging like a dark cloud over the program because of the shadiness of those at the top?

Do you miss the threat of loss of scholarships due to academic ineligibility and low APRs?

Do you miss the top players in the state picking Alabama and Ohio State instead of their home school?

Or do you just hate the coach so much that overlook all the positives of the last 5 years?

Great but where are the wins. That's why you play the game. You play the game to win! Hello!

Seriously we get it he did some good things what person who's been employed at the same job for 5 years hasn't. While all of those other things are great they are talking points for a coach who hasn't produced nothing of substance. Sound like when Dooley was talking about watering bamboo.

CBJ is starting to sound a lot like the Cowboy fan that keeps pointing to their rings but haven't won a playoff in forever

UF and UMass game totally mismanaged. It's only a matter of time. He has done this over and over each year. I am past the point of writing I hope he has learned from his mistakes.

And yes, Butch is better than Dooley. He has recruited well. We have won more in the last two years. There are positives. BUT having said that, he left more on the field last season than he should have.

absolutely, i'm in full agreement.

Fans have every right to be upset and every right to expect more. They don't have the right to trash a coach who gave his all in restoring TN football to a respectable place. It's sad when fans have more love for Lane Kiffin than Jones.

I miss when TN fans acted like TN fans.. With class and respect for their players and their coach. I miss the days when fans supported their Vols 110% instead of rooting for the opponent in the hopes that it ends the career of the coach.

There was never a time when Tennessee fans supported a coach who is failing the program like Butch is.

No? It used to matter what the other teams did against each other too, not just how we played.

Sorry, just not following you. We haven't been in the driver's seat in awhile. We've been hoping certain teams lose or win in order to back into SEC east champ

Do you miss winning big games on the regular?

Do you miss gameday coming often?

Do you miss leading sportscenter and other shows?

Do you miss hearing other people talk about your favorite team?

You obviously love mediocrity.

I miss beating Alabama, let alone beating Florida, Georgia, and Alabama in the same season.

Twice in the last quarter century we've managed to beat all three in the same season...Fulmer did it twice in 16 seasons and no one else has come close...

i miss just going to the game buzzed wanting us to kick the was of whomever we were playing.I do not care for all the "tit-t..ds"who claim from their couch in the basement that they know what and who is doing what to screw up their idea of how this team should be run.I'm not a Butch homer, but,I am a Vol homer. And that is all that should matter!

I miss the coaches not absolutely destroying the image of TN. That's the worst.

There is some pathetic bs in this thread.

Go Vols. On the off chance any player or recruit reads this insufferable board after a loss (or even a damn win for that matter) please understand the extremely small percentage of Vol Nation that is volnation.

I miss 3rd and short and knowing the opposing defense knew we were about to run it down their throat and their was nothing they could do about it.

Well then send Mike Hamilton and Dave Hart a thank you card for flushing our great football program down the toilet.

Its funny that you seem incapable of grasping simple concepts about fandom.
