Seriously, I log in today to see what all the hub-bub was about with our newest recruit and I see two threads about us beating Oklahoma next season. You all need to slooooowwww down. Let's start with, this is a really good class to build from and should be able to help us be a better team right away. Maybe that means we give OU a good game, maybe we win but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Don't get me wrong, I'm as excited as anyone that recruiting is going well, you need the Jimmy's and Joe's to compete with Oklahoma and Bama but we aren't quite there yet. In short, enjoy signing day and look forward to next season.

Misleading title (I wanted to feel the love), but I agree with your comments. Anytime you're replacing both lines, you're in for some inconsistency and breakdowns. Our defense will need to be 2+ on the turnover margin for us the be competitive in my opinion. Looking at our schedule, 5-7 seems likely...again. However, this recruiting class, full of legacy players, will get us back to a competive SEC team in two years. Go Vols!

We're gonna beat EVERYBODY. Take that "realistic analysis" crap back to statistics class. It's January and we're freakin undefeated man. Enjoy it! Oklahoma will basically be practice for when we beat the Bammers in October!

All I can say about this , yeah, and most of the world said there was no way Denver would beat New England !!!!!!!!!!!!! Friends, neighbors, and loved ones, that is exactly why we play the game. If any of us could predict everything 100% correctly all the time, life would be no fun.

Lets just win 6 games and head to a bowl game before we talk about beating a top #15 team.

I do love this board and everyone's enthusiasm, that's why I'm on here all the time, sometimes it's a bit outta whack though. I think with Vandy sliding next year we can get that 6th win, replacing Auburn with Ole Miss will be good as well, should at least be a more winable game. 7 wins isn't out of the question but I'll be happy with returning to a bowl game this season. Hell, if UF continues to struggle and USC losing a good chunk of talent on both sides of the ball we might be a lot more competetive this year, I'm just not pinning my hopes and dreams on a team mostly consisting of true freshman and underclassman with no starts.
