Alshon J. vs AJ Green

majority of them taking alshon..lmao

Do they realize they were playing KY with their 2 best corners out with injury? Of course not!

Man i hope we run it down their throats. Ky broke 200yds rushing.

We should be able to run on them my one concern on them is once again.... the passing game i know rolling Crompton worked but they will try and pin him in the pocket make him throw from the pocket.

Problem with that strategy is that it leaves the D VERY susceptible to runs up the gut. Very difficult to keep qb from moving.

Agreed. If you work hard to shut down one, you by default have to risk giving up more success to the other.

yeah and that would also leave middle screens open so i guess teams will have to deal with one of the two even though i would rather just run the ball up the gut and deal with crompton being pinned in than letting him roll out and throw.

Yup. The two are directly correlated, and it seems that they are our strengths. I think we have an offensive edge in this game. Offensive edge... sounds kind of strange when talking about our O.

Wow. AJ Green and it isn't even close. Now if they were debating AJ Green and Julio Jones, that would be a discussion.

JC did make some good throws from the pocket. Its a chess match. If they start trying to contain the bootleg well then we adjust accordingly. I believe JC is starting to show why he was the number 2 QB behind Sanchez in high school. He has the mechanics but man has he had to put up with some stuff no QB should have to. For example 3 different staffs and a bunch of horrible vol fans calling for his head. Lane Kiffin said JC was draftable and I believe he will look like a genius after all.

Im not going to throw out any I told you so but I for one have never thrown JC under the bus. But neither did I get on here and back him up when he was getting bashed. I was so suprised to see him look so bad. I couldn't wait for Ainge to get out of town because IMO Crompton seemed great with his running over the LSU safety and all a few years back. He looked like the total package with his size and ability to run the ball. The guy chose to come to this school not to be a loser. He wanted to be here and anyone that wants to come play for the vols its great. GO VOLS BEAT BAMA!

SC has a pretty stout little defense. Then again Georgia hung 41 on them, not as worried about Carolina as i once was. This game is very winnable.

Well it would appear that Ashlon may be the real deal but that is in the future. After all Southern Cal does not fly to Calhoun (Podunk)County SC 2 times for nothing. The last was Pete Carroll himself. He will be a good one though I think.

It is winnable for sure, especially since its at home and Neyland is returning to form. But, I think we could get in trouble if we start rolling out to Norwood's side. That dude is a monster.

if hartline hadn't been hurt they would've won, they moved the ball at will on them. they will get raped in bama this weekend and it will make them do like the do the second half of the season

I agree - Now the SC game looks winable. We'll learn a lot about ourselves in two weeks.
