This is the major downside of not hiring a premier, sitting head coach. We absorb the beginner mistakes. Let’s hope they don’t happen too often.
Yeah that is part of it but when you hire a good coordinator as a first time head coach you know it's going to happen and I'm ok with that. You definitely don't want it to continue, like when they've been a head coach for years and still constantly make those mistakes we've been a part of that as well.

Outside chance - VERY outside - that we would have BEAT those mountaineers, had NO mistakes been made. At least he owns his.

I’m pulling for Pruitt more than I ever did for Butch, Dooley, or Kiffin. That’s for sure. I’ve always wanted the Vols to succeed but I now want this MAN to succeed, if that makes sense. He will right the ship.
Agreed. He talks good like me.

After watching the game, I can actually say that MOST of the time during the game the right defense was called but the players just didn't execute! In other words the better players won their 1 to 1 matchup. Also, the screen play JG overthrew ball which would most likely been close to a touchdown and then JG overthrew the ball in the endzone........and then Abernathy's missed tackle which was a TD..............

I tend to think that Pruitt is getting a lot of counsel from Fulmer on how to handle the off the field. media, and donor/administration ins and outs of being a HC.

As long as he doesn't teach him how to go to Shoney's with a lawyer.
