If we do play Butler, I like the fact that Bruce Pearl will be familiar with their system based on his time at UWM in the Horizon League. He was 6-3 against them while at UWM.

Why does he hate us so much again?

Vitale, and this was shown again on the interview with Bruce on Real Sports on HBO, came out way back when and sort of chastized bruce when the incident with the illinois player came out. said he broke a coaching code of ethics by recording the conversation and comitted "coaching suicide". vitale is not the only person in the current media and former coaching ranks to think this way.

as for the potential game with Butler, they are experienced (they beat us last year remember?), and i think they have an advantage in the PG match up....Green vs. R. Smith will be huge. Will need an inside presnece in that game. expect crews and chism to have to perform well.

Interesting note about Vitale, I saw his filled out bracket on TV today, and he had us beating Butler...make up your mind old man, make up your mind.

I wouldn't underestimate just how week Butler is inside. Ryan Howard is a nice player, but isn't extremely physical, and he's their only true big guy

if we can make butler run, we will win handily. this is one of those games though where we will have to shoot it well and force them out of what they want to do.

Ramar Smith vs. Mike Green is a big big match up.

Dickie V hates us. He just said that it's great to talk about UT and Louisville but he thinks Butler will have something to say about that. He talked about Butler beating us with the same team that they had last year but said nothing about us having Tyler and JP this year. Bilas talked about Louisville having the upperhand on Tennessee because they press and see it in practice. I think we can win without pressing the whole game and these guys talk about us like we haven't played any halfcourt ball all year. All they say is that we run and gun and shoot threes. I think we have done alot less of that in the second half of the year and have found a way to win a halfcourt game. Dickie V couldn't wait to talk negatively about us. I can't wait to see what he says about Duke. He'll probably pick them to win it all.

Ole Dick is not on our nuts this year. I doubt he starts swinging from ours until Hansbrough leaves.
