I knew we were in trouble when............

Opted for the same old outside pass. Pat Ryan would say we gotta go down field now.

The difference between this year and last year is Hendon versus Milton. And the WR corps this year versus last year.

Last year:
Very smart QB who could read defenses, make decisions quickly, and damage you with his legs if things start to fall apart. He also placed balls well for his receivers.

The receivers were much better route runners and ball hawks.

This year:
Improved running game, improved in some areas of the defense.

But WRs (outside of white) aren’t great route runners. They don’t have the hands of last year’s guys. Some seem to get no separation.

And when they do, we have a QB that can’t find them. And when he does it’s 50/50 on whether the ball is going to be catchable. Forget about consistently hitting them in stride for more yards. He makes decisions a step too slow and won’t do much damage with his own legs.

Makes for a pretty easy game plan. Florida showed the way early in the season.

Hooker was definitely a difference maker. He was worth 2 or 3 extra wins a year by himself.
And to think, CJH wouldn’t have went to the guy if he didn’t have any other choice and his hand was forced.

The love affair with Milton is his Achilles heel and hopefully something he gets over at some point. His loyalty should be to University of Tennessee, not Joe Milton or any other player he falls in love with.

I listened to opening play and UT scored. Turned to different radio station rest of way home. Get home turn tv on UGA up 10-7.

my opinion, got a quarterback which coaches know they can’t put their trust in for the game in and that just doesn’t think we’lol in action and Zoe’s to see the field well, limited in plays against good competition, leads to no drives and hurts defense in the long run as the game progresses as they get little support from the offense - offense impacts the defense.

Couldn’t agree more. If you have to abandon vertical passing to play a qb then he has no business being on the field.
When you know Milton is a gamble, why not get a QB from portal so you have a possible backup other than a true freshman l?
Also, why not make more effort to get Nico playing time so he can be ready? If he gives you the best chance to win then he needs to be on the field

You said it. I don’t get any of it.

If the plan was to redshirt Nico (which I don’t believe based on Heupel’s own words this season), then why not try to get a serviceable backup from the portal? What about Moore and Shuler? Are they just taking up spots or are they actually guys that could be used if needed? If they are taking up spots, then why? More questions than answers.

I wish I had a recording of me telling my wife that first score would be our only touchdown because Georgia missed an assignment. I didn’t even cheer.

Although less gifted, I believe Gaston Moore is more of a serviceable qb than Milton. I know people will discount the fact it was the orange and white game, but he looked more like a kid suited for qb position than Milton. Maybe I shouldn’t believe my lying eyes, but just my observation
