Tennessee and Lane Kiffin, not Urban Meyer and the Gators, are on the front on virtually every sports website.

I mean we are, but it isnt exactly good news. I know publicity is good and all, but in order to gain an ounce of respect, we will need to be respectable tomorrow.

Kiffin knew what he was doin when he did that..If fulmer was our coach no one would be talking ab this game even though it is negative talk we are still in the media

Mike Vick was on the front page a few weeks ago. Plaxico Burress too. If the headline is "The Music Dies" with a sad looking Lane Kiffin, not sure that's the image UT wants projected to the masses.

Mark it down, if this game is close it will be spun as a victory for the Vols in the press.

Or the headlines could read "Vols fight hard, lose in 4th Quarter." "Florida Overcomes a Fiesty Tennessee Squad." or "Vols Back Up Tough Words, Beat the Gators in Huge Upset."

We'll know more by tomorrow afternoon.

With UT being the headliner in the news, and us needing recruits, doing badly would show the glaring need of more players. Recruits want to play early or at least have a fair shot. When we do badly, the more recruits we can attract. Being able to tell a recruit "come to UT ad help us build something special." That is a strong tool. I think as long as UT does not lose 63-3, all is good.

I agree for the most part.

I was b*tching earlier this season about how Florida is on ESPN 24/7. Even if it's for the wrong reasons, it's great to see us on there more than Florida. Our face time on ESPN has increased ten fold. We're on right now. We were on an hour ago. We were on an hour before that. We were on an hour before that. And on and on. I like it a lot. I don't care if they're bashing us, all I see is orange on ESPN and I'm down with that. ESPN.com has us on the front page too, and with Subway's new orange add on there too it looks like a UT hijack. Screw it, we've got the spotlight.

I think the exposure, good or bad, before the game has been great. It's good to see TN getting that much attention. My only concern is what type of exposure will we get after the game. A win, obviously, would be excellent or even a close game would be fine. But if we lose by more than the spread (30 - 40 points) it could be a little rough.
