I Just Wanna Throw This Out There...

And Tebow is going to break the career PE rating mark for SEC QB's... I guess that means that he is really inaccurate... Thanks for showing me this though. It makes me feel better to know that there are 5 QB's in the big 12 that magically have a higher completion percentage... oh wait its not magic. They play in the big 12...

Maybe, but at least they play FBS teams.. not FCS teams...

per And weren't the UT players supposed to be "motivated" against UCLA after last year's debacle? How did that work out. UF, on the other hand, has often played above expectations under Meyer when other teams have "wronged" them.

I am soo tired of the Meyers Revenge BS..Wasnt that Georgia team last year without 15 or so players do to season ending injuries. How bout Florida give up 15 players that start or contribute , or hey swap QB's. But it is what it is and you are on top right now. Meyer, the smug Douche, just runs up the score . it doesnt matter Whether he was "wronged" or not he does it to everyone. On numerous occasions he has left St. Teebow in way too long, even u have to agree with that. And hay that is fine but what goes around comes around. The is from a fan base who had a bigmouthed Douche Coach at the helm named Spurrier for years that also that ran his lips about the Vols all the time and fan base that constanly made fun of Coach Fulmer , but hey thats just the Ol ball coaches Moxie. so why is it now that you Pieces of trash and all the media decide that this is wrong all of the sudden. It is Hypocritcal and all i can say is maybe your Qb can end up like UCLA's QB and give his lil speech after the game with his mouth wired shut.

I personally think this game is won or lost in the first half. Confidence is a really funny thing. As a former college athlete myself, I know that when you think you are good sometimes you perform even better than you thought you could. Ever heard the phrase used in baseball that 'he's seeing beach balls out there?' Things like this come around for a reason. The size of the ball never changes but sometimes a hitter just can't seem to miss. If Crompton & Co. can go out in the first quarter and make some positive things happen then all of a sudden the whole team will start thinking well maybe we can actually win this game. If FL allows this to go on too long then all of a sudden the underdog believes they are the favorite. I have seen it happen a 100 times, and its why we all love college sports. Anybody can beat anybody on any given day. It's just how it is.

However, if we come out and turn the ball over or go 3 & out a couple of times in a row then the thought that FL is really that much better than us will start creeping into their heads. At that point, FL hasn't beat us we have beat themselves. Confidence comes and goes and can be one of the best tools an athlete can have. Let's all just hope that we have gained a little confidence since last week at practice and it carries over to the early part of the game this weekend. GO VOLS!!!!

Things are looking bad and it appears most people are thinking it is going to be impossible to win. I'm not one of those. I'm trying to find positives going into this matchup...

Everybody keeps talking about how terrible the UCLA loss was. The way they make it sound, the Vols were killed last week. But in reality, UT was 1 yard, ONE YARD, away from winning that game. Had we gained that 1 yard, things on these boards would be alot different...

Last year coming into this game, UT was coming off a far more painful loss to UCLA, and the Gators coming in after rolling through the Vols the year before. But what happened? Yea, the Vols lost 30-6, but look a little closer. In the 1st half, UT was inside the Gator 5 yard line TWICE and came a with ZERO points. The Gators took a 13-0 lead into the half. That doesn't look like utter domination to me. Sure UF pulled away in the 2nd half, but the Vols were demoralized after coming away with nothing after being so close in the 1st half imo...

The Gators only scored 3 TDs last year. One of them was a pass to Harvin and one of them was on a punt return by James. Kiffin has made it fairly obvious that he is not going to kick to James. Harvin's gone and James isn't going to see the ball, so that is going to be 2 TDs that won't be scored on us this year. I know other people are going to touch the ball, but the Gators will not have a playmaker on the field as good as Harvin this year...

People keep predicting that UF is gonna win by 50. That is NOT going to happen unless we turn the ball over alot. UT has the #1 defense in the country right now, the best defender in the country, one of the top 10 LBs in the country, a future 1st rounder with Walker, and one of the greatest defensive minds in football history. There is absolutely no way that UF can put up 50 on this defense...

And at some point all this talk and predictions from Gainesville and in the media starts to feed the underdog and leads to overconfidence and carelessness by the favorite...

UF- 34
UT- 18
The key words were "Unless we turn the ball over a lot". I agree there is no way otherwise they score more than 4 TDs. But if JC throws ints and CLK has to pull the plug on the passing game. Florida will work with a short field all day. Depth not being one of our defensive strengths this could get real ugly. IF JC holds it together and running game is solid. Florida could get frustrated and fall apart. Thats just the biggest IF I have ever seen. But here's hoping! :clapping: GO VOLS

Hey LV. I liked everything until I saw your score prediction at the bottom. Not that I'm disagreeing with it, but after you did such a great job of building everything up it kinda' hit me like a slap in the face that I wasn't expecting!

i agree!
