I gave Coach Martin a quick phone call just now. I asked him if he would sign an autograph for my dad. He said absolutely. He was very nice and you can tell by talking to him that he still loves Vol football!!!! He and Al Wilson will always be my two favorite Vols.........

Great memories of those guys. I was a freshman in high school when Al Wilson was a senior and we were in the same defensive back group at Phil Fulmer's summer football camp. Lovie Smith was our d-backs coach during the camp. Al Wilson was really cool, especially being a freshman in the camp. Fulmer was over at our drills each day watching him. I was naive back then as to who he was but figured he was someone that the were recruiting. Always enjoyed following the careers of Al Wilson and Lovie Smith ever since that summer.

What ever happened to Tee Martin?

Actually, he is an assistant coach here at the University of New Mexico with Mike Locksley as the head coach. Coach Locksley coached at Florida under Ron Zook but was most recently at U of Maryland. He's assembled a very nice staff here....

  • Darrell Dickey, Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs Coach
  • Doug Mallory, Defensive Coordinator
  • Toby Neinas, Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach
  • George Barlow, Defensive Backs Coach
  • Cheston Blackshear, Offensive Tackles and Tight Ends Coach
  • Rubin Carter, Defensive Line Coach
  • Mike Degory, Centers and Offensive Guards Coach
  • J.B. Gerald, Wide Receivers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator
  • Tee Martin, Quarterbacks Coach
  • Troy Hatton, Football Strength and Conditioning
I spoke with Tee earlier this week as I took Arian and my other son to the football complex to arrange for them to work out and lift there while Arian is home. He was really great and he and Arian were chopping it up about UT. He's a good guy. Ironic that he would wind up here in New Mexico where Arian was born and raised.

I'm pretty sure Locksley was most recently at Illinois.
