What I just saw on my TV was very moving. Do yall think we made a mistake. I know what bama has I know what fla has but I just saw a team behind a coach. Maybe we just needed a little more twiking. A few more players, a little more down the field, I admit I have been harsh too but, did we act to soon on the coaching thing. Man I hope Kiffen or whomever has the nation in mind. Do yall think he is going to care about Tennessee football as much as CPF did? What about it yall?

You would have never seen any emotion like that without the firing.

Kiffin isn't my guy, but Fulmer needed fired (poor English). I'll take 5 (or maybe 3) years of Kiffin over 1 more year of "working like heck", "looking at the film/tape" and "two or three plays away..."

NOW 5 or even 3 years? come on quit kidding yourself. If things aren't good in 2 years you will be in here crying and complaining like everyone else. AND NO THERE WONT BE ANYONE THAT LOVED THE UNIVERSITY AS MUCH AS COACH FULMER.

Kiffin will have to learn quick what it means to be a part of the VOL NATION. It is family, not just a buisness. Maybe he will learn quickly.

Yes I do. I think with a little more players we would be fine with the emotion I saw at the end of the game tonight. Did we jump to soon?:p:p

Beating Vandy and Kentucky is nice but it doesn't make up for being 3-9 against Alabama, Florida and Georgia the last 4 seasons.

There is no way on earth Lane Kiffin will ever approach the love for Tennessee football that Coach Fulmer has. At the end of the game when asked by the ESPN "chick of the week" a leading question that easily could have drawn a negative response, Fulmer just said "I'll always be a Vol."

That being said, no Mills we haven't made a mistake. At least not in making a change, time will tell if the choice of Kiffin is the right one.

WE lost to Wyoming and beat two turds floating near the bottom.

No. I don't think after 15 and 16 in his last 31 SEC games he was tuning the corner.

Did we make a mistake in the hire? We'll find out next season.

I feel like we did jump the gun too quickly! I have no doubt in my mind that CPF would've turned things around! I think that once the QB position was established, we'd have been back on top again. And I agree that NO ONE will EVER love UT like Phil! And I will never look at a coach like I looked at CPF!

It sounds like you are breaking up with your girlfriend.

Johnny Majors loves UT just as much as Phil does...

We just played THE KENTUCKY WILDCATS who we've beat for over two decades straight. The week before we beat a Vandy squad who just got smacked by Wake freaking Forest 23-10.

Do you honestly think we could have beated Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or Bama next year with Fulmer? We MIGHT win one of those.

Back on top of what? The SEC East. I really am tired of losing to Florida every year and having to wait for another team to take them down so we can back into the championship game. Tonight's win was great and Fulmer loved the program, but you have to remember who the team just beat.
