Meyers first year, they averaged 28.5 points, their NC year they averaged 29.7, and last year when they had 4 losses, they averaged 42.

If you take out their cupcake OOC schedule, they averaged 25.6, 27, and 38. They averaged 53 against UT, Vandy and SC last year.

They average 20 per game against UGA, AU, and LSU in 8 games during Meyers stint.

While last year was a good offensive year, I wouldnt say it was because the spread. Other offenses in the SEC have had similar great years. Overall, againt a good defense, I am not overly impressed.

I'm with you govolsman. The spread hasn't been the catalyst as much as the talent has. Amazingly enough, he took it to the house when he had the studs on D rather than on O. Now that his recruits are trickling in, his defense has suffered.

His talent on defense is there, it's just young from what I see.

Just goes to show Defense wins championships. Also, interesting to note that Meyer is 3-5 against UGA, AU, and LSU. His record is not as good as the hype surrounding him. If you have a competent DC and players to execute, you shouldnt have a huge problem defending the spread.

Many of you said that Meyer's offense wouldn't work in the SEC, what say you now since we are 0-4 against him?? Gimmicky or not, he owns us.

I wasn't among that "many", so I'll take a second and pat myself on the back.

Meyer is the best offensive mind since Bill Walsh. And I'm the best since Urban Meyer.:p
