at home these last 3-4 days because I'm constantly checking VN or Twitter for news on the DC hire. If I don't get some work done tomorrow, there will be another job opening to fill. Mine!:unsure:

You're wasting your time then.

A) Insiders aren't insiders
B) Our DC is irrelevant until signing day at best.
C) You finding out 2 hours before its official on ESPN doesn't change the success of the hire - although I know we're all just itching to approve/disapprove of the hire.

Funny, recruits do not seem to think that our DC hire is irrelevant until signing day.

This is what worries me. One of the few positive things Dooley has done during his tenure is bring in more talent. The longer he waits to hire a DC, the more I feel we may lose some key pieces of the 2012 class.

I have actually accomplished a lot the last few days, not gotten behind on any housework..Luckily, I can sit and wait on laundry to wash and dry.:p So that means I have time hang out with my VN friends!!:rock:

OP, that is just ridiculous. I love the VOLS just as much as any other person, But I will not let my addiction to Tennessee Football get in the way of my work. It isn't that difficult to not go to Volnation every time you are on the internet. Try it some time, I guarantee you won't self implode.

I've been just like everyone else. It's pins and needles all day, every day. The old saying "Every man has a price" is true. We have enough money to hire anyone in the country, including Smart, Chavis, and Shannon. I think all the "insider" stuff is just BS, and I also think there's already a contract being worked out with somebody. Besides the season, this is the most important time of the year for coaches, so I don't think they are dragging their feet. I think maybe our new hire is either still playing, or they are waiting to break the story right before, or during the BCS Championship tonight.

I want a video or a link before I get worked up over the "rumor" threads. Other than that, VN is just a good time (most of the time).

Why is it pins and needles for a lot of posters on here? We were 5-7 last season. It's not like we're coming off multiple SEC titles, national relevance, etc.

It is a DC position. There are hundreds of DC's in football. We'll hire one of them.
