read at your own risk.

I must say I am disappointed in this football season. I come on this board and the volnation is divided and looking for someone to blame. This is destructive and accomplishes nothing. We are young and will be young again next year. However, I saw some positive things on Saturday, not a lot, but some. I truly believe we will make our way out of this pit, but I still think we are three years away from competing for a conference title.

We have to stand united. Dooley is doing the best he can with what he has. The question is, is Dooley's best good enough...time will tell. Until then go vols.

Until then, Go Vols. I agree with the sentiment. Dooley and Co. haven't shown much beyond their ability to recruit yet. Will it improve as we get better depth? Perhaps, but the jury's still out. How long he's given to get the train rolling is an even more difficult (and troubling) question to ask.

yea just because we have started 17 freshman this year and last is no reason to say were young. I mean, hey if he cant coach up our 3s to play with bamas 1s hes just not that good.

If we listen to the Fire Dooley crowd and go 4 coaches in 5 years, you may be right.

Don't misunderstand me. I am a fan of CDD & I really want him to succeed at UT. I hope that he improves & this team improves. I don't really like how it appears he places the blame on the players, IMO there have been some serious coaching questions of late. I hope we can all learn from the troubles we are having to emerge to a National powerhouse again

One thing is for sure, Dooley gets through 2012 AT LEAST. Until then, Go Vols.

On the DD show yesterday he said "We coaches need to do a better job putting the players in a position to win."
I notice he only calls out some of the players. Maybe he only does that to the ones that respond to that kind of coaching.

Against a Soph. QB making his 3rd start and a 3* True Freshman RB making his 1st start.

I will say that the Defense played well. Just keeping it in perspective.

Their Offensive line is very experienced, and one of their supposed strengths this year. Connor Shaw has a LOT more experience than "making his 3rd start". Come on now.

And we held the best receiver in the SEC to 3 catches and 17 yards.

Good Post OP. It is what it is.

Here's to a fast healing Tyler Bray, a fast learning Justin Worley, a team that wants to get to a bowl game, Rod Wilks stepping up his game, PWag getting into the endzone next time, Freshman receivers stepping up their play, OL Pride returning, TP hitting the hole, Herman hitting the ground running, Devrin takin' it to the house, . . .

Whew !

Man that's a long prayer list.

Like him or not, Kiffin had his QBs back. He said before the season started that Crompton would be draftable. Everyone laughed and Crompton went 13/16 for 93 yards. No TDs. 3 INTs. Everyone just laughed more. 1 month later Crompton put on a clinic, at home, against Georgia going over 300 yards and 4 TDs.

I can't help but think if Dooley was the coach in 2009 he'd be carrying on about how Crompton is just a bad QB.

Kiffin did a good job with Crompton. And he brought along his daddy.

And that's just about all the good he did.
