This was not the methodical, exhaustive search that I had hoped for. How many times do we go fast, cheap and low-ball on these hires and end up with a mediocre coach that we could have had at any point and SURPRISE , it blows up in our face in 3-4 painful ( and foreseeable ) years? Vol Football is now a punch line. Pruitt pays guys and has a
16-19 record? If it takes 8 million a year to get James Franklin or similar , then pay it. You will sell enough tickets to make it up. I hope that I am wrong about Heupel , but his record got worse each year after Frost left. This is not a good sign. This hire reeked of desperation , also not positive. When people say gilt-edge coaches wont come here- they really mean that UT wont pay their asking price. Chances are we will be going thru this stupid , depressing ritual again in 3-4 years.

At least this movie has a different director. Time will tell.

I'm starting to think fan message boards are a waste of time. I've been on here a few years, and I swear to God, it's the same old crap over and over. Same old people, unhappy no matter what. I'll bet 90% of the fan base is fine with the hire, and 9% of those who may not be 'fine' are content to shut up and see what happens. It's the 1% who start the endless, repetitive, crappy threads that say the same old sh_t over and over. Dude's been on the job one day.

It wasn’t the movie I was hoping would be on tonight........

However I wanted to see an offensive movie
I wanted to see a development movie
I wanted to see a head coach movie
I wanted to see SEC experience movie
I wanted to see a winning movie

I certainly didn’t get to see the movie I wanted......but the movie had everything I wanted in it.

I wanted to see Deep Impact.....the movie house was playing Armageddon..........turns out it was basically the same movie........I’m good.

Could not agree more. So tired of this rinse and repeat. I am more concerned how negative the UCF boards are concerning him. Seem happy he's gone.

No CJH will probably be coaching Tennessee for 6 seasons or longer

Maybe this one will be the classic feel good sports movie in which the loveable band of winless misfits gets forged into unlikely winners by a questionable coach. Think Bad News Bears or Cool Runnings
