What about 4-0 Vanderbilt now leading the East?
Yeah, most of the crazies seem to forget that Vandy has a lead on everybody in the east right now and don't look to shabby. Not that I like it or anything but it could be a year that Vandy has been waiting for.

or another, perhaps more realistic scenario:

CPF puts Stephens in to start for the NIU game and at halftime we're up by 21. Then CPF puts Crompton in after halftime. NIU comes back and wins.

CPF tries to explain that he wanted to give them both equal time and during the interview a little angelic girl wearing a cheerleader uniform cries and chides CPF from the back of the room saying, "AND you stole my pony, you BAD BAD man!"

Stephens gets the next start but is injured on a late hit, therefore JC takes the wheel and blows the 3 next games.

BJ takes over toward the end of the year and cant find a rhythm because he's only had 3 snaps under the 1st team center. As the boos reign down after the Vandy loss, BJ is hit by a plastic cup half full of SoCo and Diet Coke which breaks his forearm. Crompton comes back in for UK and throws 10 straight completions... to UK. Final score UK 42 UT 3.

UT sets the record for turnovers in key situations and vols have their worst record since CPF stole the throne(is that the 2nd Macbeth reference on this board recently?).

CPF is fired in a blaze of hell fire and brimstone pressure from the local Baptist Convention who has found a higher amount of alcoholism amongst the local congregations in the history of East Tennessee - all of which is scientifically attributed to UT Football woes.

CDC gets cleaned out as well, and has to move his family again, but this time he and Chavis become roomies and move to a New York loft to "Leave the past behind."

CPF takes over as the coach of Miss State after Crooms firing and wins the 2010 NC, then calls up John Adams and the two share a secret adventurous relationship of roller coaster riding and velcro-together skydiving.

And all the popcorn sold in Neyland is later found to be laced with Exlax. But yet the fans finally rejoice, as all the s%&t is finally gone.

That would make me frown.

thats not impossible. as a tennessee fan we have spent many many years trying to figure out how we win the east after a loss to florida. somehow every year, fla or georgia end up stumbling and open the door for us. we could beat georgia, we will beat bama. georgia can beat florida. vandy will lose to us fla geo and possibly kentucky along with auburn. we can do it, just got to get the ball rolling and start putting up w's tomorrow night.

Yay!! We can rear-end our way into the SECCG, get a decent bowl game, and no one will think twice about our coaching staff and lack of execution, passion, or discipline. Then next season, we do the same thing....start off bad, everyone wants to fire Fulmer, then we back our way in again.....when in the crap will we start winning the games and earning our way to the SECCG?

Have you watched Vandy play? No way they lose to Ky and as of now I see NOTHING from this team to think that the vols can win at Vandy.

Fulmer will announce Crompton as the starter for the NIU game, but says they will both play. Both will play and do OK. The Vols win, proving nothing. Fulmer asserts JC is still the starter.

GA - JC will play horribly again, and GA will get on top in a hurry. Stephens will end up in the game, but it won't be enough and we'll lose.

Miss. St - Stephens gets his first start in a close game, but the offence still doesn't get untracked soon enough, and poor special teams play persists. However, we pull out a win.

AL - We get blown out again.

SC - The Vols play better, manage to win, barely.

Wyoming - The Vols win handily, proving nothing.

Vanderbilt - Vandy beats us decisively.

KY - They win - their fans celebrate in Neyland afterward. The Vols end up 4-7. We're all disgusted.

Even though September was an awful month for UT, it is done. A coulple of days ago was the start of a new month – a new beginning for the Tennessee football team.

In October, November and December the following special things will happen for UT:

· Tennessee will largely cure its quarterback problems, at least enough to avoid the costly mistakes and execute enough throws to make opposing defenses honest. This will open up Tennessee’s running game, which will go from good to dominant.

· Tennessee will beat NI by more than three touchdowns

· Tennessee will make it 3 in a row over UGA and get its first SEC win of the season between the hedges.

· Just a few hours after beating UGA, UT will watch LSU beat UF at the Swamp to give UF its 2nd SEC loss and making UF, UGA and UT tied in the SEC east race with two losses each

· Tennessee will escape a close battle in Knoxville with Miss State, winning with a fourth quarter field goal making the difference.

· A majority of the UT fan base will get back on board supporting Fulmer after UT gets a big win over its arch rival Alabama at Neyland stadium. Fulmer will be seen smoking a big cigar after the game, and Eric Berry will direct the band Peyton Manning style.

· The next week, Tennessee will beat a crumbling South Carolina team on the road in Columbia. The win will be Fulmer’s third straight victory over the Ole Ball Coach.

· That same day, Mark Richt’s Georgia squad will defeat Tim Tebow and Florida. The Georgia win will give Tennessee control of its own destiny for the East championship.

· Tennessee will destroy Wyoming by over 40 points and notch its biggest margin of victory of the season. The next week UT enjoys a helpful late season bye week.

· Tennessee beats an already bowl eligible Vandy in Nashville by a touchdown. :good!:

· Tennessee comes back to Neyland stadium for senior day and clinches the East championship by handily defeating UK. Eric Berry again directs the UT band and as the fans stay in the stadium after the game to celebrate. :dance2:

· The next week Tennessee faces an undefeated number one ranked LSU team in Atlanta. Tennessee gets the victory and its first SEC championship in ten seasons. The Vols accept a bid to play in the Sugar Bowl as the BCS representative for the SEC:rock::rock:

You dream more than I do! GO VOLS!!!!!!!!

I like your style. Let's do this thing! I'm going to be in Knoxville for Miss St and then Columbia for the Gamecocks, and I want to leave both stadiums with a smile on my face. :)

:clapping: "Let's Go ROCKY TOP!"

I know that one day the Vols will rise on top of a mountain, and there's going to be flutes playing and trombones and flowers and garlands of fresh herbs. And we will dance till the sun rises. And then our Vol brothers will form a family band. And we will tour the countryside and Nega-Vols won't be invited.

A Vol win over the Dores in and of itself does not knock Vandy out of the drivers seat.

I have watched Vandy play. And you must be watching a different game than I am.
They beat a good Ole miss team and will hand us a loss they way we are playing now. I am interested to see how they will do against AUB sat.
