I talked to a guy one time who had an official visit to SMU for one of their big games.

It was the day that Ladainian Tomlinson went for 406 against that very school.

Alan Posey said he hated his offcial to UGA. He walked to the hotel from his home. They gave him 10 cents for "Travel Expenses"

I have no idea folks, I asked my boss does he remember his name he said no and why should I he dissed Tennessee in front of my kid. So I don't know

Remember the Kiffin era: coaches ripping off their shirts shenanigans? iirc quite a few recruits came away less than thrilled with their visits that day. However that could have been like a junior day and not an official visit....

I think a lot of high school students go to numerous schools just for the free trip,etc. I have also heard of recruits being able to bring a friend or two with them as well. I think it goes on everywhere not just UT.

Gerald Jones got arrested while hosting someone back in January of 08. I know the father gave an interview bashing Tennessee but I don't think the kid said anything.

UGA Insider probably has a great story to share about a 5-star linebacker that was ditched by his hosts on his OV last year.

Yeah I remember that. 2 of our guys were the hosts for Khairi Fortt (spelling ???). He was down to Penn St. and us. He was on a OV and 2 or 3 of our guys took him to a late night party. Fortt then stated that our guys ditched him at the party and he got lost in Athens and had a hard time finding his way back. It was all over the AJC the next day, those boys love stories like that.

The kid later backtracked a little from his story. He said he had his mind made up for Penn St. already and he was just looking for any reason to turn UGA down.

That's what I know.

Probably better off. If you can get lost in Athens you would have a hard time learning college defenses anyway.
