I hate to do this, but several threads back, even before the season ended, I told you we would be a 2nd Seed in the NCAA...all I got was a bunch of, "you don't know what you're talking about." Unfortunately, I do...we just have not earned the National respect at this point...I honestly beleive too, we will lose in the Second Round to a very good Butler Team...I hope not, but I just don't feel good about this Bracket... :ermm:

I would bow to your brilliance had you called the early exit from the SEC tourney. That, and only that, made us a 2 seed.

If we lose to Butler, your prediction of a 2 seed looks silly.

Well I guess you will equally impress us with your bracket selections. Surly you will win.

If we do lose to Butler, and trust me I hope we do not, the Basketball Know it all's at ESPN/CBS will be saying , see we told you so...the SEC was a weak conference this year, and Tennessee did not earn a #1 seed...I just think Butler is too quick for us...they are like a little Memphis...yes, I know we beat Memphis...I think we really got "boned" on the bracket...I wish we were playing in the South, not the East...If we do get past Butler, and thats a big IF, we could very well be playing the Tar Heels in their own backyard...not very fair, but typical as far as how UT is treated Nationally...its almost as if "they" do not want us to win...I hope you all can throw this all back in my face in a couple of weeks...GO VOLS!!

So the SEC prepared us less than the Horizon league might have prepared Butler. Please try to make some sense.

Butler is a little Memphis is the funniest thing I've read this basketball season.

Eh, how do you think Memphis feels going to play TX. @ Houston? Get over it, it happens. The Vols have to take it one game at a time.

Butler will have to play their best game of the year to beat the Vols. Vols will win by double digits and YES, they will play for the regional title.

I highly doubt UT wins by double digits, unless you are meaning by 10, after some free throws at the end of the game with Butler fouling to give them a chance.

Butler is not a bad team, and their style of play gives them a real chance against UT.

And whoever said Butler is like a "little Memphis", what the hell are you talking about?

As for Butler having to play their best game to win? Maybe so, but if the Vols play one of their worst games we could lose. Stranger things have happened in tourney play.

we are all VOLS fans, and as you see, I am the #1 maryland fan from up East...I take enough Flak from the ACC/BIG East school fans...I really do not need it from someone who is supposed to bleed Orang like I do...read my thread carefully, I do not want the VOLS to lose...I want to win, hell, I want to win it all, and rub it in the noses of all of the NAY SAERS...Remember one thing, if its the only thing you remeber from this thread, I am a Volunteer. :good!:

I'm not debating that you're a tremendous fan, just your logic in reaching your assertions about our losing to Butler and the fact that they are 'a little Memphis.'

You really have to look past folks that do the name calling that happens on any site, but the mods really do try to keep it clean around here. Welcome to VN btw just notice your new here.

I seem to remember Butler beating us last year in new york in the pre-season NIT.Yes this 2nd round matchup is a bit unnerving

Point is everyone is building hype around this Butler team and they haven't played ANYONE who matters yet.
