Chubb got hurt like he did. Even if it favored us. It's ironic because I was just telling Ga fans that hopefully we wouldn't take him out like we did their previous backs the past 2 years (3 in a row now). Just hate the GA fans saying we play dirty. Good hard fought game tonight and I'm proud of the players. Play calling still sucks;) but it was just enough to squeek one out. Anyway, I was hoping we could show a little class and good will for, Chubb. Kid is a beast and hate to see that happen to him.

Go Vols! We can win out from here (except Bama and even that is POSSIBLE)

I could care less.

Their offense had no trouble scoring, Chubb being out didn't stop us from putting up 38 on them.

Edit: Just to clarify I'm not saying I could care less about Chubb being hurt, just about what Georgia fans think about how it changed the game.

I honestly hate GA fans more than anyone else. They will make more excuses than we do after a loss and I really hate to see Chubb go down for two reasons. 1. The obvious...you never want to see a kid hurt. 2. Now GA fans will claim we got lucky and we play dirty. It makes it harder to laugh at them for losing when they think we hurt him on purpose. Oh well.....They still lost and I'll sleep like a baby tonight.

I really hope that Chubb is ok. That being said it was just nice to have the breaks go to us for a change.

Who cares what they think the score is what it is.

I would challenge any Georgia fan to explain how ANY of the plays that resulted in those injuries were the result of a dirty hit including the Chubb injury today. Yes, it's unfortunate that it's happened but that's how football works sometimes. Would they feel sorry for us if the same thing happened to Hurd and we blew a 21 point lead? Hell no.

I understand the bitterness and view, but I was hoping for more support, like what we showed Lattimore

I hate it for Chubb as well but it was not a blatant hit, it was at the sideline, maybe due to the rain and whatever it could have made the field softer so his cleat caught the grass more than it should.. whatever the reason it still sucks for him. I hope he recovers, I am certain he will. Do not worry about their fans, from what I have seen in the past week or two, we have cry babies as well.

According to the crawl on Fox Richt didn't think he would need surgery. Maybe it was a dislocation? It bent forward, so it didn't necessarily look broken. But I would think he would have been in more immediate pain with a dislocation.

Ep nevermind looking at the video above looks like a broken tibia/fibula.

Yeah looks like a complete break of Tib/Fib, or blew out ACL/ PCL and maybe more ligaments, cartilage with possible fractures too.....either way he's going to need surgery 100% and be out the rest of the year....

Anyone who thinks this is just a mild dislocation or hyper extension just is totally clueless and living in la la land. This looks eerily similiar to Lattimores injury, which ruined his career. I have a feeling Chubb will be better off though because of his thick muscles and structure but this injury is very severe.

For all those GA fans saying we played dirty. Ask them about that dirty chop block on Shy Tuttle. Guy went straight at his knees from behind

As far as playing dirty they have no room to talk. The hit on Chubb was unfortunate but clean. The chop on Tuttle was dirty and uncalled for.

Nobody hit that knee. He was stretching for an extra yard, thought his foot was closer to turf, misjudged and did it to himself. Hate it for him, but no Vol touched that knee.

Not quite as gruesome as the Lattimore injury imo. I haven't seen any vol fan happy to see him get injured, everyone hopes the best for him, so not sure of what support you speak of. In the end it's football and injuries happen, the game goes on. We had our fair shares of injuries today too. Chubbs will be back. Go vols!

I bent my knee that way while in the Army in a training exercise. Tore my bilateral patella tendon. I pray Chubb is more fortunate than I was.

Exactly. That hit on Tuttle was just dirty. As a former O-lineman, there's no excuse for hitting a guy in the back of the knee in that instance. That was a dirty hit. I'm sure there were instances of questionable hits on both sides throughout the game, but that was uncalled for. I saw Shy on crutches on the walk home and told him what a great game he and KMac played. Hopefully he can recover in the next couple weeks, he's a good, humble kid. Hate to see a guy like that go down due to a dirty chop block. Go Vols.
