All I'm saying is that Butch was DeBords OC/running coach.
The article said that their previous year, the running was terrible.
The question is, how much of the offense was mostly Butch's playbook at CMU? Or did he just help out the running game and let DeBord do the actual play calling,
My biggest fear is that they'll get in a routine similar to how they called plays back at CMU but it's just that Butch is HC and DeBord is "OC".
and what was the outcome of the year after this was said? All he is saying is they wer not very good in his estimation at running the ball and stopping people from running the ball. That could have been a schematic thing or it could have been a talent thing.

What were their stats the preceding year? And thereafter? Without those for context, we don't know if that was coach speak or the beginning of the end. As most coaches how they did in a year they didn't win it all and they will say something similar.

TLDR version: Him, saying he was not happy with his team's performance in the previous year and dedicating himself to correct it is a GOOD THING.

Let's sit back and see what Deboard can do for atleast one season before we start with the doom and gloom threads. I truly believe he is gonna prove to be an upgrade.

Ok, so base on this post your question was more about the plays they are going to call, and not that DeBord was HC with CBJ as OC because we all knew this.

So go back and watch the games they coach together to see if there was a trend, then you will have creed for being a pessimistic about them coaching again with flip duties for 2015. :)

Based on a brief survey of your post history on the DeBord hire, I'd say you rather enjoy being pessimistic about it.

stats checked.

And this was 15 years ago... Are we to believe not only Mike Debord's schemes but all of football hasn't changed in that time???
