I just had a thunk. If you suspect it you’re probably right about me being drunk. But I had not one but several thunks. During the UTEP games, Pruitt is going to let each of our RBs play. Likely to get a sense of how dedicated they run. Possibly as well to get a feel for which are the best 2 or 3 bets for battering the an OL into submission, so to speak. I also believe we will see a lot more of CK to gain a better idea of his game-time strengths. They’re going to loosen the reigns on him.

I had some thunks about the DL as well. Watch for increased for Emmit Gooden combined with increased PT for Greg Emerson to encourage pocket collapsing. My personal expectation is we’ll see more of the DL getting hands into the air to bat down and redirect passes. I got a hunch ole Pruitt realizes this defense isn’t going to be great at sacking QBs. So instead they will focus more on knocking down and rerouting passes.

The final thunk I had was that a Miner player will be playing without his mouthpiece. He’ll fall face first onto the rain-soaked field and they’ll have to remove a tadpole from his mouth. I suspect this has something to do with stadium’s proximity to the river.
Well...if you don’t thunk early you can’t thunk all day

On D, Gooden seems to be getting better. Johnson is probably the best DL right now. UT isn't getting much production from anyone at the Jack position- Kongbo has recorded 1 tackle in 2 games. Deandre Johnson has none. Allen may end up being the best solution there.

UT needs more QB pressure. Three sacks in 2 games isn't enough. Unfortunately they're probably going to have to "manufacture" sacks with blitzes and interior stunts.

The one guy I don't understand how they can keep off the field is Banks. Yeah, he needs to cut or spin and avoid some of the contact in favor of more yards... but he gets positive yardage if they give him just a crack.

Tough crowd tonight. Woodsman knocks back a couple of stout ones on a Friday evening (and who hasn't from time to time), offers some reasonable opinions on tomorrow's game, and gets chastised like he's a Gator fan or something.

You know how it is, Seattle, we got some Vols fan whose life purpose is to devour their own fellow fans and players. No cure for their cannibalism virus or its accompanying Bamaqueism bacteria has been found by Dr. Freak, Dr. Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare, or that iZombie chick. No matter, gonna love my Vols come "heil" or "hie' water. And game day is here -whooo weeee! Now for a swig of that Prichard's and Guinness concoction I put together to see if the big TV rocks and shudders when the Vols DL tackles human vole tunnelers. Purely to enhance viewing pleasure you know.
