I had no idea you could get a tech for flopping...

It's probably too late for the NBA. But maybe we can nip it in the bud in the college game.
Lebron is a big reason it's so rampant in the NBA. He was notorious for it during his Heat days.

Now Harden has developed it into an art. He plays the refs like fools.

NBA is unbearable to watch aanymore

I could be wrong, but I've always attributed the propagation of flopping to the influx of European players into the league. These guys grew up in countries where soccer was the #1 sport and it's just part of how they compete.

I agree. Ginobili was bad at it. Lebron just took it and made it a normal part of a superstars game. Refs would bail him because of who he is.

Harden is the worst I've ever seen. I hate that they get rewarded for it.

They should get called for it and automatic free throws for the other team. Then let the player guilty of flopping shoot free throws. But his makes wont count. But if he misses, 1 point is awarded the opposing team for each miss.

Flopping would stop very quickly

Gave you a like for the Gif. Didn't realize Lebron, Curry, etc were European.

Thanks for the like. My theory about flops in the NBA and Europeans is admittedly non-scientific and even partially tongue-in-cheek. There were flops in the NBA before the influx of players from Europe. But I do think it has become more common in recent years -- and more rewarded. It stands to reason that American players are going to learn and try to take advantage of the same tactic.

Yeah, I think American players should watch more soccer to really learn how to "embellish" the act to make it more entertaining, like the Memphis game last year. Those were great lol. Maybe let them wear cleats on the court.
