I had a horrible NIGHTMARE

So, I woke up this morning around 330 with a cold sweat and gasping for air. I'm hoping that by sharing this nightmare with VN that maybe it won't come true.


:snoring::snoring:

So, here it goes...

First Quarter - Memphis @ Tennessee
By the way the stadium was all wrong, it was a high school stadium with metal bleachers, so keep that in mind while you picture the rest. and TN was in their all orange uniforms.

Memphis gets the ball first and runs it back to the 50. Then, on the first play, Memphis QB throws a touchdown pass to the endzone with three UT players guarding the reciever.

My dream then switches to the next memphis possession, first throw, Eric Berry jumps up from the mike LB position and intercepts a pass and runs it back for a TD but is blatently Late Hit in the endzone and has to be carried out on a strectcher, with the announcers saying that his last play of his college career would be breaking the int return yds ncaa record.

So even though we tied the game everyone is so heartbroken that the tigers easily get the ball in the endzone again but not without their QB taking a scary hit from McCoy, whom then gets kicked out of the game for pointing toward the sky and screaming 14, excessive celebration I guess.

The next image I see is the final scoreboard reading 14-7 Memphis and then I wake up.

I know that this is not the way this game will go at all except for maybe Eric Berry breaking the INT record and McCoy destroying someone but never-the-less, I woke up like I had just seen a ghost and had to get up and have a beer and watch recorded TN stomping uscE to go back to sleep.

don't worry about it. If we have 5 O-linemen and Hardesty (no QB or receivers)...we will win by 14. So...relax bro.

Wow, you know your a true football fan when you dream a full game, with details. If this had been one of my dreams, all the players would look like bobble head dolls and the stadium would probably look like somthing out of the gladiator movie.

WoW! I had a dream last night too.... Farrah Fawcett was 20 again and wearing a red hot one piece....while in my speedo I ran to her and.......:)

...then my wife showed up and B-slapped me into next week.

Well, thats how mine usually end. Cant even have a good dream without her screwing it up.

Glad to know I am not the only one with that situation. I would love to hear a psychologists take on that.:crazy:

I hate dreams like this because sometimes they can have some meaning to them. Also, the last powder puff non conference foe we played, we had a tonne of injuries. Also, I never told anyone this, I dreamed we lost to UCLA sometime during last summer. Common sense says we will obliterate Memphis, though.

I'm still having nightmares about the 96 memphis game in memphis when I was sitting on the 25 yard line surrounded by Memphis and we somehow lost. That memphis kickoff return still runs through my head till this day. Just hard to get over.

My dreams go like that from time to time. Last one had Hannibal Lecter in it. Tylenol PM does that to me.

My dreams about sports are always very weird. My last dream about Tennessee, we were playing Florida in the Swamp and my TV kept going out and I couldn't find anywhere to watch it. The strange part was our basketball team was playing in the NCAA Tournament at the same time, and the TV kept going out for that as well.

The strangest part was I never seemed to question how we were playing Florida in football and in the NCAA Tournament at the same time. And neither did anyone else in the room with me.

you think about UT football too much if you are dreaming about it, maybe you should take a week off from Vn and espn. just a suggestion
