Happy with the progress I've seen so far this year and definitely like the fact that we FINALLY have some athletes on the field, especially on defense, but to say we've "beaten 2 good teams" might be a slight exaggeration. I would say 2 competent or mid-level teams.

We play a good team next week. It is the first good team on our schedule. I think it's gonna be a rough ride the next three weeks and hope the Vols can hang tough and pull out a win or two. Would be great.

Man,I agree...I'm trying. Going to get fired up and get my head out of my butt. For what ever reason, after seeing Pearson/Wolf go out and our O/L play...I started focusing on our schedule and posting negative stuff.
Negativity doesn't get us anywhere. Lets get up! GBO, always!

It is this same exact attitude from the Negavols that got our HOF coach fired.. freggin retardation to expect perfection from a team full of 5th Year seniors.. Let alone a team where half the team is playing in their second game in CFB...

These Idiots make me sick.. Literally I feel like throwing up after getting on this site this evening.

As far as football goes, I'll be happy when and only when we are back as a perennial Top 20 program that is competing regularly for SEC championships. I'll never settle or be happy with anything less.

We blow out two teams that everyone in the country says have an excellent chance of upsetting us.. Worley and the defense are better then anyone thought they would be..

But all you can do is complain and cry like a 6 year old with a boo boo..

I normally do not like to do this, and rip into others for doing it. But it has never been more warranted in the history of volnation...

I think we will be alright. Not world beaters at this point, but 6 or 7 wins is where I think we are at this time. Just make a bowl game, and that will be a huge improvement.

We probably need one more really good recruiting class before we see the dividends.

Yea those 2 teams are awful. Utah State has only lost by an average of less than 7 points against the last 3 ranked teams they played. Arkansas State has been to a bowl the past 4 years despite having 4 different head coaches.

Nature of the beasts, especially on this board.

No one knows for sure where we're gonna end up, who we're gonna beat this year. I could certainly hazard a guess at this point. The only certain wins I'd put money on are Chattanooga, Vandy and maybe Kentucky at this point. There are 4 losses coming that I believe are locks and I think we have chances (to varying degrees) to win the rest.

More than anything else, whether we win or lose, at this point I just want to see evidence that we have the right kind of athletes and that we're well coached. I saw very little if any signs of either last year and I see signs of both this year so I'm encouraged as a fan. However, I think we have a very long way to go to get back to where we all want our team to be. Unfortunately, I think that point is going to be illustrated quite emphatically next week in Norman.
