I guess GA's repeated chop blocks on our players were not illegal?

Since no penalties were called on them and I have not seen anywhere that Pruitt either complained to the officials or said anything to Kirby about the chop blocks. I thought they were illegal. Just intentional dirty plays by GA. I bet if they do them Sat against AL you will hear Saban complaining.

If they get called against Bama we will know what’s up and have a legitimate gripe. Until then, it is what it is. Damn I hate GA. Ugh.

Trash program. Cheap hitting knee hunters.

I despise uga. I dont respect that program in any way, regardless of outcome.

I give you a like. However I am not sure you should call the players "knee hunters". It seems to me they have been taught to combo block in this fashion. Hitting high and low has been taught to some degree I know from the 50's (when I was in HS) on and I expect it still is as you see it done now and then from high school on up. It would be pretty hard to "just do" without some amount of practice as it takes good timing to pull it off. As to the GA program I too have no respect.

And this guy was on their Tennessee game ticket the next year. Anecdotal? Sure. Indicative? Yes.

I thought they called the hi-low block on Simmons?
They did--high/low block is illegal and should actually be an ejection . A low block by itself (cut block) is not. Ga, Tech made a living doing it .Actually I would like to see all below the waist blocking done away with--just way too many knee injuries from it.

As much as you wish it to be, that isn't a chop block or any other kind of illegal play. If anything, UGA has had more knee injuries at Neyland in the last few years that UT has. They even started calling it "Kneeland".

This is true. Ga Tech probably had to do it especially when their entire oline is under 300lbs. U can chop block just not when the defender is engaged with another player. Im sure our dline practice drills vs the chop block but there aint nothing u can do if u are already engaged. They will have to start ejecting guys to prevent that.

Wouldn't waste time complaining to zebras. Best and quickest way to stop it is to take a couple of shots at the knees of their OL. When they know it's coming back at them, they...players/coaches....will pull the plug. 15 yards vs UT losing a starting OL for the rest of the year is trade Kirby would gladly take. Consider it the mutually assured destruction theory of chop blocking. That's a deterrent.

They were penalized for the one on Simmons.

Georgia complaints about any contact with their players, especially when we tackle one of their running backs.

It’s a cheap dirty hit. Sorry to call out your player, Karen, but Kublanow went for the knee, and broke a leg. Bravo.

Trash program, most annoying fans in sports. You guys should adopt that as your slogan.

Why is it that TN fans are the only people who accuse UGA players of chop blocks? I've never hear this urban legend discussed on any other sports board. Why aren't more players hurt by these phantom blocks? Could chop blocks and the other accusations just be a case of sour grapes?

Maybe you didn't see a bunch of penalties or hear Pruitt complaining about it because it wasn't the epidemic some would like to think it was.

It's an urban legend started here and you don't see it anywhere else.

Cade Mays tries the cut block often this year. He usually misses.

Snowflake, diving at a knee and breaking a leg isn't an urban legend. Putting the guy on the ticket for the same team the next year isn't an urban legend.

Trash program. Two good annoying examples of the fanbase right here.

I don’t understand the “putting the guy on a ticket” reference. Please explain.

Nick Chubb wasn't an intentional attempt at diving at the knees to make a block...and as much as you don't want to admit it, Chubb's injury was a clean hit with an unfortunate outcome.

Putting the player on the Tennessee game ticket that took out Shy Tuttle was low down. I seriously doubt anybody is envious of that low rent move.

Outside the tackles, below the waist, back side of player. 100% illegal. Same reason wideouts can't clip people downfield.

I swear, the family tree in Georgia is a straight damn line, just like that cancer-ridden shitbird of a dog you all call a mascot.
