I don’t care where the game is the game is played, I’m so tired of hearing about these 7 on 7 merchants. Give us some B12 or ACC refs, and let’s just smoke these frauds. 2 and half more weeks.

Honestly, winning the whole damn thing would be amazing, but more than anything I would love for our guys to smoke these clowns in Columbus since this committee has protected B10 teams all season.

You'll probably get your wish. If not look for James Franklin to have come into Neyland. We're probably playing one of those two teams.
I doubt it will be in Neyland. Committee already said teams not playing could not improve seeding. It wasn’t those exact words but…. I could see them giving Penn state the 8th seed if they get shellacked vs Oregon. They would drop but still host.

OSU won’t be any picnic. Would love to ease out of Columbus with a W though.
It’s surprising some on here take Ohio state so lightly. They have the most talented roster in the country with impressive wire receivers. Michigan beat them but they’re Day’s kryptonite. It happens. Yes we can beat them but it will take our best game of the season for 60 minutes.

If that happens then Ohio State would improve their seeding.

I agree. My point is we won’t host Penn State and the only change would be Ohio State leapfrogging Penn state. Idk what will happen snd to be honest, I think NCAAF loves the arguing and debates occurring all yr long as it’s good for business. The turmoil keeps us guessing and people like you and i discussing on a Thursday nt.

Edit-

And in his post-show news conference Tuesday night, Manuel, the Michigan athletic director, made it pretty clear that evaluations of teams that aren’t playing on Friday or Saturday aren’t going to change with a few more days of reflection, citing No. 7 Tennessee and No. 9 Indiana.

My Favorite teams ... Vols (duh), whoever plays OSU and whoever plays ND. Maybe it can be the same team. Ha

Living in Ohio, I have longed for us to get a crack at the Buckeyes in the postseason. Getting them in Neyland was the dream scenario; going to Cbus with a chance to make the next stop Pasadena is the next best thing.

Great matchup of teams, great matchup of brands. Whichever team wins will have to earn it.

I saw Josh Pate point this out: Few things illustrate the brokenness of this playoff system like the fact that Oregon’s reward for going 13-0 (if they win Saturday) will be getting to play either us or Ohio State in round 2. Meanwhile the 6/11 winner gets SMU and the 5 seed gets Boise.

They didn’t say teams not playing can’t improve their seeding. Not sure why people keep saying that. They said teams not playing can’t pass other teams not playing. For example no way for us to pass Ohio state because neither is playing. A team can still lose and fall behind teams not playing.

I hope it's OSU because I've always wanted to see the Vols play them. I've seen them play Penn State, Oregon and ND.

It’s not difficult to follow what the committee is saying. Movement b/t Penn state and Ohio state would not be a huge deal. Both would have a home game. But here is part of the comment:

I’m with you. Our defense matches up well with their offense, rushing attack, Will Howard very limited. On offense just hand it off to D Samp, and company! Nico keeps doing his thing and we’ll be golden
