I have a family divided, some of my family went to the University of Alabama, then I have some that went to the University of Georgia. Well I went to the University of Tennessee like most of us on here.

Well yesterday was my turn to say the grace before the Thanksgiving meal, the grace went something like this:

"Lord I am thankful that you have brought our family here today from many parts of the world and provided for us the opportunity for fellowship and provided us with the food that we see before us. I would also like to thank you lord for allowing me the opportunity to say that Tennessee will beat both Alabama and Georgia next year."

Needless to say this got some people fired up.

It is a Thanksgiving I will not forget, and will never have the chance to forget if Coach Pruitt and the boys don't win next year..

Prior incident, do tell....

Won't go into specifics but I'll just say right after "amen" was said an argument ensued and people left the table before the meal was over. Out of respect for those who prepare the meal, we now play nice until everyone gets their fill then all bets are off. Usually by then, everyone is too full to argue.

Was it something like "and Lord I pray these heathen Methodists figure out they're going to hell, not like us Baptists, Amen!"

I gave my all to not insult the family cooks So piled my plate with dry rubbed BBQ turkey, roasted venison, garlic mashed potatoes, white-yellow mixed cream corn, spicy rice pilaf, roasted Brussels sprouts, dressing and gravy. A big glass of wine. Then apple crumb pie and cherry-peach strudel. Yep, I and my tummy gave our all.

Jesus is the one who spoke and the world came to be,he spoke and the storm ceased,he spoke and water came from a rock, healed the sick caused the lame to walk the blind to see and changed water to wineand raised the dead to live again. When he comes back some will enjoy it and on the other hand some will not.Einstein.gif

My family is divided as well, my niece played softball for UK(had her heart set on UT but didn’t work out) so needless to say they’re big UK fans now. The last 2 years the holidays have been great I’ve strutted like a rooster. My oldest brother can’t stand it. It got a little heated yesterday but nothing serious lol
