for a few days, i was bitter about us going to atlanta for our bowl instead of outback or cotton. those just seemed to have higher implications for us. some things i just noticed though is that my assumption was entirely false.
espn reported that our bowl game is ranked number 9 on list of most important bowl games, higher than both cotton and outback, not higher than capital one but check this out....
ole miss gets #19 okst.
auburn gets an unranked northwestern. my god, that could have been our destiny, and what a bore.
lsu gets #13 penn state.
we get the #11 team in the country! i feel like we probably made out with the best possible bowl matchup. there would be a great reward for beating a very good vtech team, we just have to beat them. if we do, i can see us being ranked for sure.
so yeah, atl on new years eve > any other sec bowl (excluding uf and bama bowls)
