I find it hilarious

What does a Martin team do well? I kept asking myself that question last night after two full seasons and that turd in the punch bowl loss last night. What does a Martin team do well and that they hang their hat on? I'm still trying to come up with an answer.

People need to chill out. It's still November, this team is a lot different than what they were last season, they just haven't jelled yet. It's tough to win on the road against good teams, especially when you aren't shooting very well. I'm disappointed by the loss, but it doesn't worry me that much and I think we will still have a successful season.

Don't worry-about mid February they should start looking good.

Terribly constructed sentence above. Really, with an asst coach, my 10 yr old makes better decisions on the bench last night. Not a doubt.

I hope you'll understand if I don't acknowledge the grammatical criticism of someone on a message board who thinks they can out coach the coach of a D1 program.

I understand. You don't seem to understand that in regards to last night's game, I know a hell of a lot more basketball than he appeared to know for 40 minutes of gametime.

Must be a Brentwood thing. You people can do most things better than the rest of the general population.

Basketball isn't a difficult game to coach. Recruit the players...teach solid man to man principles...play zone from time to time...make proper personnel decisions. Now lets see who is better at that than Cuonzo is...Coach K, Billy D, Izzo,Williams, the Xavier coach,Spartacusvolus, etc...etc.

A great question, and one I have no answer for. Maybe posing for pictures with a tough looking face?

I'm 100% confident I coach that team to a win last night and don't give a **** if you find it hilarious, really.[/QUOI

I definitely do not find your comment hilarious although ignorance is sometimes hilarious.

What's ignorant is to not look at the coaching errors to see how they affected the outcome. I wouldn't call timeouts and kill momentum. I would play Moore. I would push the pace and run their big ass center ragged. I wouldn't wait till 20 seconds left in the game to send 2 picks for McRae. Otherwise I'd sit there and watch a W.
Those are simple solutions that were obvious early and plenty of time to correct. 12 minutes in wd push the pace and get 5 pts in 40 seconds after using CM's gameplan for the first 12 minutes. That's too late. Stupid is stupid and it doesn't matter what your title is. Can I recruit? No. Could I and many others have sat there last night and done better? Honestly, if anyone thinks they know the sport doesn't think they could've made better in game decisions and better gameplan then basketball must be a difficult sport for you to follow.

I was gonna ask for your coaching credentials so thanks for clearing that up

that all the fans on this site seem to know more about basketball than CCM and staff. TN played horrible against Xavier and still had a chance at the end. This team will only get better. This team will definitely make the tournament.

Hope so, but at this point Cuonzo isn't inspiring the fan base.

Do you disagree that the coaching moves I and others have mentioned would've changed the outcome or not?

I don't know if what you suggest would have changed the outcome or not but I do know that hindsight is 20/20. Armchair coaching is a lot easier than sitting on the bench making split second decisions. I'm sure CCM has a better grasp of the players abilities than you do. Or are you an expert on that as well? Your narcissism is frightening.

His teams have also improved as the season progresses each year. Probably has nothing to do with coaching ...

And the only problem with that is that the SEC has been down the last 2 years so you have to win games against good non-conference teams also to get into the tourney.

Again, someone point out the identity of a Martin coached team. I'm still waiting.

It's not hindsight when you ask wtf is going on immediately and there are a lot of former players and coaches around that have been somewhere besides the chair. I'm sure CCM has a better grasp of his players abilities as he sees them everyday in practice. Evidently, I have a better grasp of how their talents can be used effectively than his nonmoving, walking it up, half court, wasted motion, instinct sucking, non attacking, talent wasting, terrible spaced, poorly gameplanned offense that looked exactly the same as in the pitiful games last year.
Hallellujah. Holy ****

Just having fun, there is validity to your points. I'm not ready to give up yet, CMs teams have improved each year down the stretch and I still think the team is not very talented. I was thinking in the second half that they could have won if they just spread the floor each time down and let Jordan do what he do. But I don't think its quite that simple but the outcome could have possibly been different.

That alone should be more than enough to get off the train.

We should NEVER settle for a coach who is clueless in any aspect of the game.

It comes down to this: WIN OR BE GONE, PERIOD !
The win or be gone train is the one many fans are on.
And I don't think chasing the bubble and backing into the dance will get it for most either.
Not with this talent.
either show you know how to use it or cut a trail.

Shots just weren't falling, don't see how that has anything to do with our coaches quality or ability.

You're right, a poor shooting night was the only reason we lost last night. I'm glad you could clear that up for us..
