When are y'all gonna learn that Taz is a female??

And I'm with you, Taz. I always love it when the Vols get better media coverage than the rest of the SEC.

When she posts a picture of herself wearing pompom pants and makes it her avatar.

The default, and extremely safe, assumption is everyone on the internet is a 44 year-old man.

It does raise a painful truth .... how many times the past 8 years have we been in a matchup that anybody cared about? We joke about Alabama vs MTSU, but at times, we've been the team that makes a matchup crappy. It is a kind of positive sign of the times.

Amen

The AMC broadcast sounds like a test pattern.

I think the best one is when they played The Rock on TNT.

Sean Connery, in his thick accent, got dubbed over by what sounds like a summer intern.

Loshersh alwhaysssh whieen about thehr besht, winnersh go home and date the prom queen. And then Nic Cage followed it with his weird face and voice. It was classic.

I find it funny that you dont understand this.
If UT was playing MTSU it might not even be on SEC Network. Its actually a little bit of a testament to how much Bama can draw.

And last season's UT vs UF game was on the SEC Network...don't understand the point the OP was making. All SEC games are televised somewhere with the new contract.

This is the one shining, indelible, lovely fact for me. I'm not media-savvy enough to get too excited about relative cool factor of channel A over channel B, I'm just pumped that we now live in a world where you can count on seeing your team live every single weekend.

But I do miss John Ward.

Go Vols!

That's a valid point but some of it has to with the fan base too. Even in these lean years we still garner enough eyeballs to make it worth being on the flagship stations a few times a year. The OU game was on ABC last year and we stunk.

Yes, there's a lot of 'Bamers out there, but the ESPN Saturday evening slots are for games that have national appeal.

The Tennessee - OU game is in the top two pr three games -- if not the best game -- in CFB this week. It's the kind of game that people who just love college football watch whether they have a dog in the hunt or not. I live in Iowa. I may be the only Vol within 50 miles. But, I have had two or three people who I know are fans of the game mention this one to me. Plus, it has gotten a decent amount of pub on ESPN's national programming.

The Alabama - Middle game will be watched by 'Bamers and MTSU allumni (for the first quarter).

Agree!

I enjoy watching the other teams play before the UT game. I don't care what channel it is on. :good!:
