The kid was two passes away from being a hero, and if he had the receivers LSU had last night, all the talking heads would be calling him an early first round draft pick. Instead he has to deal with a bunch of butthurt fans calling him a bum

Yeah, i said alot of stuff last night on here i regret. Its like CPF says they win as a team and lose as a team. I'm glad that he has been our QB. I cant fault the guy for trying to make a play. But by god i still say i'm DAMN PROUD OF OUR VOLS!!!!

i feel bad for him also, but i will say that the receivers werent the problem on the two passes. it was the quarterback.

I am proud also, but I hold Ainge responsible for that loss. CPF said the right things, but I dont have to. When he does well we all talk him up. Cuts both ways.

I hope, for his sake, that Erik doesn't read these boards.

It'll be a while before Vol fans say anything positive about Erik Ainge.

Ainge is a puss!!! Suck it up and step into a throw and take a hit. If you can't do that hold the freaking clip board already!!! I'm glad he's gone.

I'm very disappointed in Ainge. I don't know what happened to him, but he hasn't played like that all year. It's like he went back into 2005 mode...

He kept us in the game by throwing two picks? One for a touchdown!! HA! Are you crazy?

The Defense keep us in the game. He took it out of their hands.

I'm not so sure about that. Without him, LSU loses 6 points on the interception returned for a score.

The defense played well enough to avoid the blowout all night. Ainge played below average...and, as a result, the Vols lost a very winnable game.

No, he's not. Still got a bowl game to play.

Much like last year, I'll watch the game, pull for the Vols, and look for positive signs from the '08 class.

What Ainge does, or doesn't do, in the bowl game is really of no interest to me. It's that simple.

go vols.

I regret some things I said last night. Ainge is a good person, and I feel bad for him. I just can't believe he gave away the game like he did.

don't feel bad for Erik, he will be able to put this game behind....feel bad for me because when his name comes up all I will be able to remember is this SECCG and the two picks he threw.

Trust me it's not the way I want to remember him

I do too. He won at Flordia and UGA if I'm correct. He has done a few things no other qb has done.

i felt bad for ainge as soon as the game ended. i was pissed for sure but to go out like he did was just horrible. it's sad things went the way they did for him. hopefully he'll be sent off with a bowl win. some of you guys that are wishing ill-will on the kid need to grow up

I am not wishing anything bad to the guy.

He is just not a very good QB. He is probably one of the worst we have had in the last 20 years here.

Yea, I am a little upset. We all are. But it is what it is. 9-5 again. Weeee-hewwwww!!!

Wish the recievers had made a paly on some of those passes, and Lincoln making those 2 FG's would have us kicking a third FG, instead of going for it on 4th down.

Totally different game with those FG's...

Already pessimistic about the bowl game...We could and probably will be 10-4

Who cares? Does it mean anything? We played for a SEC Championship and lost yesterday. If beating Wisconsin makes you feel better about the year. Good for you.
