I really do. There is no question the guy has worked his tail off trying to rebuild this program, and he is just plainly in over his head. I don't fault him for taking this job, and I think he should be commended for taking on the mess he did. He tried and failed, and it's time to move on, but I do truly appreciate his obvious effort in trying to rebuild the program. I do believe his motives were always coming from the right place, which cannot necessarily be said for his two predecessors. he will have left the program in a better state than he found it, from a talent perspective at least.

That said, it's time to fire butch. Flame away.

I concur.

I don't hate Butch and will say he will leave the program in better shape than he found it. In the end the SEC chewed him up like so many before.

Completely agree. Wanted it to work for him so badly. No doubt he worked his butt off but just doesn't have it.

I don't really feel bad for anyone whose gonna get multi millions for being fired. Feel bad for the players though. Their coaching staff has wasted several of them and failed to put them in positions to be successful.

"Previous two predecessors" is redundant. Otherwise, I have no problem with your post.

Glad and appreciative that he left the program better off. I bought in big time.

Where I get angry is his complete inability to accept the blame and adjust. Looking back to even his first year, we should have see this coming.

I get what you're trying to say but I don't. His stubbornness and bone headiness and refusing to be "wrong" was his down fall.

He has 15 million dollars to suck at his job more than a weather man. I don’t feel bad.

Well spoken. He put out a dumpster fire and restocked the cupboard. I think history will look back kindly on him (given our two prior coaches).
