Saban lost to UAB in his first year at LSU and LA MONROE in his first year at Bama. With a much more talented roster than this TN team.

Saban will be at Bama 4 years this season.
That's the length of his attention span.
He'll be coaching the Dallas Cowboys next year and we can lay his memory to rest.

I wonder what the LSU fans were saying about him when he lost to UAB his first year?

What makes you think that....for some reason I feel like he has settled...I mean for the money....he has built a great program he would be kinda stupid to leave. I kinda hope he does but I would like to beat his butt a few times too. :)

Doubtful, but I wouldn't mind one bit. Especially if he finds the same success at Dallas as he did in Miami.

I have a gut feeling he will be gone within the next two years, might not be Dallas but back to the NFL. Saban is an egomaniac to the 10th. It has to be eating him up that the only thing he has failed at is the NFL. If a good NFL job opens up and they come calling he'll be gone.

Not really. He knows he's got it made right now.

You have to understand the way these guys think. Yes he has it made but he failed, a type A+++ like Saban has a hard time living with that and wants another shot.

Saban is fine for right now. If the competition gets a little stiffer, then he could go to the NFL. Not until then, though.

Exactly!
He's the only college coach to win a BCS with 2 different schools.
Nothing left to prove.
Miami was a rebuilding project.
Dallas is not.
Jerry just needs the right coach and he needs to pay for his new stadium.
Saban is salivating!

and a week later he beat Tennessee with a bunch of pro bowler on the roster. :banghead2:
what is Saban's record against Tennessee btw? he beat us again in 2001 SECCG.

I'd be willing to take this comparison (Saban losing to two lesser schools in his first season at LSU and BAMA, respectively) so long as I'm also allowed to continue the comparisons between the two in seasons 2-4, as well.

If its unreasonable to expect an SECCG in year 2 and an SECC / NC in year 3, then the analogy to Saban is not only invalid, but laughably so.
