First off, why should I not care where Pearl went?
1) He greatly improved TN basketball and the expectations.
2) Do you realize we will now be competing with not only on the court but also in recruiting? It matters...
Second off, you are EXACTLY one of the people I'm talking about. I'm more of fan because I don't just watch the game... I care about the future of the team..
No one is questioning if you are a true fan, I think people are questioning why everyone is so concerned with Pearl, considering the situation, and why there is so much negativity around this team during the season. As an AD, Hart would look like an idiot firing the coach of an tourney-bound team, to hire Pearl, essentially ruining the season of this whole team, so I don't get what you wanted him to do here. As a program, that would look bad on how we treated the players, the coach, not to mention Pearl is still in a Show-Cause.
Now, if this team makes a short run, again, Hart would look bad firing CCM to hire BP. So, essentially, CCM has another year, what he does in that year probably determines his future here, and if we want BP, we can buy him out from Auburn, but until then, forget about it, he's coaching another team. Also, I don't get the sentiment that 'this program screwed up again', there is nothing that should have been done, it's that simple, let it go.
