"I don't think Tennessee is very good"...

The best thing about being 5-0 is that it doesn't matter how good you are.... you're still 5-0.

If we are not very good...

Why does it only take our team half a game to do what ot takes everyone else a full game to accomplish?

Speaking of someone who is not very good at what they do. . .

You throw what you think is the game-winning Hail Mary with three seconds left… just let ’em celebrate. You don’t have to flag them for the 15 yards every single time.

Yes, you do, that's why it's a rule. You can't cherry pick who gets flagged and who doesn't.

I don’t really think they have any shot at Texas A&M this coming Sunday.

Does this guy even know what league he's talking about? Maybe he's got us confused with the Titans.

Credit to them for hanging in there against Appalachian State and for recovering eight fumbles against Virginia Tech

OK, this guy is obviously a moron.

One thing does make me happy;

Joining Hinnen in the trouble sleeping department has to be the entire Georgia football team and fanbase. . .

its amazing how all the pundits were talking about how good florida was and especially their defense. now the vols have beat them and georgia and out of nowhere, there's all this back peddling. all the sudden ut hasn't really beaten anyone good and they are just the luckiest team in college football to be 5-0. sheesh... this is why i try not to get too caught up in what all they say good or bad.

Well, to be fair he pretty much said what a lot of Vol fans don't want to hear or hope to believe, but could very well be true.

Truth is..
Georgia scraped by Nicholls and Mizzou
Florida scraped by Vandy and were missing their starting QB
App State out played us the majority of the game
Virginia Tech fumbled 5 times
We didn't impress against Ohio

On top of that we are missing 4 all-conference SEC players

While I hope this pundit is wrong, we shouldn't be alarmed that someone isn't all too impressed with our team. While we are resillent and mentally focused, we aren't as good on paper..We have a lot to prove this afternoon and will need to play a complete game.

Well, we had a pretty underwhelming performance against Georgia. we played about 12 minutes of good football, and spent the rest of the time picking our butts, dropping passes, fumbles, stupid penalties, extremely poor tackling.

Couple that with our earlier performances, and the fact that Florida barely squeaked by Vandy, and will probably lose 2+ SEC games left on their schedule, depending on if they play LSU or not, and it's a valid argument.

These next two weeks are team 120's chances to prove everyone wrong.

Most every national program I heard this week sounded like this.
If the talk wasn't about our luck, it was about our injuries.

So far, Shoop has cobbled together some bailing wire in our back seven to try to hold water without Sutton, JRM and DKJ.
Now, for today (and who knows how much longer) we are without Hurd. So, how will DeBord handle this challenge?

Yes, it's true that our defense faces a very good running QB today with a sound running game and a stable of strong WRs, although a few are a little banged up.
Yes, it's true that our offense faces one of the best front fours in the nation.
Yes, Tamu has one of best home field crowds in nation.

but, maybe what the Vols have is something special.
Maybe Dobbs has another great performance in him.
Maybe our Oline can do just enuf.
Maybe Kamara and Kelly will be great today.
Maybe our linebacker replacements will play over their heads.
Maybe Foreman and/or Martin will grow up before our eyes in the secondary.
Maybe our coaching staff has some rabbits in their hats.

And, maybe, just maybe, Tennessee comes home 6-0.
Wouldn't that be something! :clapping:

I heard this guy on the radio Thursday night after we left the Luke Bryan concert. I turned him off after it was obvious his feelings had been hurt. I'm fine with people expressing their opinions but when you start throwing "incorrect facts" out, it's obvious you are speaking from emotion.

Guy is way to emotionally invested and has no business speaking to the success or failure anyone has had against Tennessee. There are reasons "national college football insiders" are on at night when most people aren't listening.

I agree with most of what you said, but you're not giving UF enough credit. They have one of the top 3 defenses in the country (So Far). They may have been missing their QB, but we were missing 3 of our best defensive players and still won. Same goes for UGA. They're not going to be winning the SEC anytime soon, but anytime you can go to Sanford stadium and win is a great accomplishment.

In 1998 people where making list like you just did and kept saying we cannot keep this up. All that team did was win and 13-0 and their still some saying that team wasn't that good and were lucky.
