sadly enough, I have a gut wrenching feeling that next season will be the same as this one...same HC, same OC, same DC, same mediocre results...

Boy, I wish I had a quarter for every time I've heard, "There's always next year"......I'm personally sick and tired of hearing that. I, just like all of you love TN football. It was bread into my very soul, but settling for mediocrity (hell, we ain't even mediocre) is something that we shouldn't settle for......Just like I said in another post.....Lets get back to the times when the WHOLE nation would shudder just a little bit everytime they looked at the Orange Power T and know that it stood for one thing and one thing only...

He is having a very rough season but think about the consequences, Tennessee is not going to cut him loose because if they do, they have to pay him out for the rest of his contract extension and they ain't about to drop all the money, Fulmer ain't going nowhere, everybody can get over it, so what we had a rough season, theres always next year, every team has a rough season, just keep all of your heads up and i guarantee next season is 100 times better, some players just need time to mature.
All the sports media, sports writers, self-proclaimed football geniuses(analysts), and fans can howl till the cows come home calling for Fulmers walking papers and it might not happen. But when those numbers start droppin (ticket sales income) you can bet the farm he's out. It's business Fredo, not personal.

They stand to lose more than the buyout in revenue if they keep Fulmer.

Fulmer is going. It's a done deal. They are just waiting for the right time to announce it to do the least amount of damage to the team. They still have a chance to become bowl eligible....the AD doesn't want to kill the season (although it is wounded badly)
Look for the announcement after Saturday's game.

There is about 7.5 million set back, for instances where they would need to pay off a coaches contract. Fulmer is gone, and if he isn't I will refuse to watch or spend any of my money on UT Athletics next year.

Hamilton has already stated that he has $7 million under the mattress and the university has 48 months to pay the buyout.

UTAD depends on football revenue to fund athletics. They have lost a ton of money this season, and if they had to ask the school for money the administration would unhappy all over MH. You don't think the "it's him or me" gut-check would rule?
