Truthfully I think a lot of us, myself included read a little too much into the WKU game. Im no football expert by any means but id like to list what i took from the game..

1. Crompton is likely the worst QB in vol history.
2. our Defense is pretty beast and will get better
3. our running game is gonna be really good once we get some OL talent.

Ive read a lot of posts blaming this on CLK. I dont really agree with that. The offensive coaching wasnt perfect. I was disappointed in the 4th and goal call but other than that the play calling wasnt terrible. before we get all pissed off about so many running plays being called remember back to last year when we were all pissed off because Clawson wouldnt dump the passing game. Would you even consider for a second relying on Crompton to win the game for you?

I think that once we get another quality QB in here and some more OL talent this team will be fine. We will get better.

One think that I have to say I really liked was that there was no clapping. And this team NEVER gave up. I can take this loss. This UCLA team wouldve beat the living daylights out of the vols last year imho. UCLA was definetly better than advertised I thought.

no they were awful. we are just worse right now. But like lastseason we will get better i dont think they will

UCLA looked better because they looked at tapes of Crompton playing football last year and knew how to capitalize on his crappiness.

The over-exuberance after the WKU win was surprising. I recall before last season people talking about the similarities between that team and the 1998 national championship team. It seems some lessons might have been learned last year.

most of that last year honestly came from seeing 2006 Florida celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 1996 national championship, and then won one that year too

i saw it as alot of UT fans going for the same thing

Our running game will be beastly once we get more quality offensive linemen. Brown, Oku, Poole, and Williams (not to mention future recruits). It will be exciting to watch in coming years. Besides that, once we get a QB who can loosen up the defense by completing passes to the correct team, our running game will be rolling.
