I know this is a dissapointing season... but i was just thinkin today, whenever this season ends im going to miss this so much. I would rather go to game on sat than anything else in the world. I love college football and particularly love the vols. So i hope im not the only one that will whole heartedly miss this season regardless of the record.

I feel sorry for both of you. I will not miss this season at all. When I am older and my grandkid finds the stat book and asks me "what happened in 2005?" I will probably start to sob uncontrollably and say that was the year we should have played in the Rose Bowl but our coaches had no brains and our players had no heart.

so your saying you only like watching tennessee if they go to the NC/? or are you saying you refuse to enjoy a season that has had plenty of good times. Non of us can change it so why not enjoy what is left? your just like the rest of the fair-weathers!

I do not enjoy watching a team that has meant a lot to me for a lot of years underachieve and loose games that they should have won (Bama and SC most notably, and probably the FL game as well). If the roster was filled with guys that are not highly touted recruits and we were not paying our coaches so much and then the team went out and got flat beat while playing their hearts out I would be the first to step up and say "Good job Vols, you really gave your all for UT today." Sadly, that is not what I have seen this year. If you read some of the articles that are starting to come forth you will see that some of the senoirs are now admitting that they did not practice as hard as they should have because they assumed they would win on talent alone. This has been a sad year for UT football. Enjoy the last 2 games? Sure, I'll enjoy watching them. And if we have to go to the weedeater bowl I'll enjoy watching that as well. Overall though this has been a disaster of a season.

I love the Vols, the program, the mystique, the excitement of gameday, and everything that goes with all that.

Every time I go in Neyland I think of past days and future days when the Vols made, or will make, a particular day and/or year very, very, special for me, a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Go Vols!!!!!!!

i agree with the originator of this thread. While it has been a disappoiontment, it's still college football and the VOLS. There's no experience in the world like a game at Neyland, in spite of the bitching on this board about bluehairs, uninformed fans and quiet crowds. I'vwe been there when the place shook so hard I was afraid it would collapse and kill me. I'm an old man and will not be around for many more seasons. But I have all the confidence in the world that WE WILL BE BACK, stong as ever and God help the opposition. You gotta accept a year like this as a freak, Murphy's law, or what ever, and get ready for the next season. You young kids, be patient. The cream may be shaken but it always rises to the top. As bad as it was, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I will miss the Saturday morning expectation and the afternoon excitement. Vol football is the best there is. Even with the disappointment this year, I still can't wait for next season to begin. But there is always basketball and baseball to fill in the down time. Until then,

GO BIG ORANGE-SLAM THE DORES
ITS A GREAT WEEK TO BE A VOL FAN
:clapping: :victory: :td: :td: :3cheers:

For your info...This season sucks and I'm not gonna go over there and watch slop that isn't fun or entertaining. I'm still going to watch the game and root for the Vols, but I'm not gonna waste 4 hours to go see a 4-5 football team that puts forth no effort, therefore I will show no effort in return. I don't have to explain to anyone why I'm not there as many times as I have been over there. Not attending is the only form of protest we have as fans. I gave the tickets to a friend of mine who hasn't been in a long time. College football is supposed to be fun, well this season has been nothing but stress and bore. It would be different if we had a team that gave their all, but we have a bunch of No-Talent ass losers. I will be back next year, but shoot this miserable season and put it out of it's misery...I"m done!
