I don't know about these freshmen

They rarely rarely are really good. Those SEC DLs have a lot of strength and refined technique.
We just need Sanders to be better than Campbell was last year; in other words, avoid stupid AF holding penalties and give your QB more than 0.05 seconds of protection on his front side

I wouldn’t count on any freshman but Sanders. And even with him, I’d remember what Darnell Wright looked like as a freshman. He eventually became everything you’d want from a 5 star tackle, but he was not particularly good as a freshman.

Not relying on FR this Year isn't going to be an option. The FR WR's will play and play often. Sanders will start and play a lot, Atleast 1 TE will play if not both, we're 1 QB injury away from GMac being the #2, I'm sure some of the FR on Defense will be relied on to play. In the era of the Transfer Portal, more and more FR will be relied on to contribute and play often.

I want to take the little clip of Sanders saying "305 is a little on the light side....." to my doc and tell her I'm not fat, I've got aspirations to play OT in the SEC.
I played center back in the day at 200 lbs. My 16 year old grandson is 6’5 and 295. Still growing. If he and my oldest grandson could swap bodies, he’d be a future Vol!

We are going to have to rely on freshmen more than most because we had the worst portal haul of any P4 team. But it isn’t likely to bode well for this year. Could potentially help down the road though.

Can only a miserable person believe that true freshmen are unlikely to contribute much on a football team? Name the true freshmen who have started under Josh Heupel. There aren’t many.
Some people watch those videos and see great kids, young men excited to come play for Tennessee, players who want to work hard and are taking every opportunity that is coming their way.

Then there are people who automatically go to a negative response about them.

You literally named yourself miserable, so you have to keep it going. Have the opinion, that's fine. But it's silly to argue your point.

I wouldn't count on any of them. I'm glad we are continuing to step our talent level up. That's the way to the top. 👌

You better hope the freshman WRs can play. They have zero depth and Braz hasn’t even practiced to this point.

Nope they don't..They had better get being a kid out of their systems in Highschool.
My $$$ is on Radarious Jackson. Trust me that he got the kid out of him in high school. Go to Memphis and take one drive to Sheffield High School and then you will realize what we have in him. That kid is still only 17 years old. His catch in the Orange and White game was phenomenal. What impresses me more are his 13 interceptions in his Junior and Senior years of High School. That dude is coming down with the ball when thrown his way.

If you are excited now wait until 2026.
  1. Faizon Brandon is the number 1 QB in America on at least one recruiting service.
  2. Savion Hiter is the number 1 TB in America on most services.
  3. Tristen Keys is the number 1 WR in America on most services.
  4. Tyreek King is regarded as a top 2 or 3 slot WR by at least one service.
  5. Salesi Moa is a top 2 athlete in America on at least one service.
  6. Gabriel Osenda and J.B. Shabazz are both top 50 overall players on at least one service.
Tennessee could even add Darius Gray, who is regarded as the top OG in America.
It is starting to feel like the 90's again. But again, these are just verbal commitments and I am not resting easy until I actually see them in orange.

What is negative about saying freshmen typically can’t be counted on as big contributors if your goal is to win? It is a pretty well established fact.

It’s just funny that in your world, all the freshmen are going to be great, we are gonna shock the world! Then when the season doesn’t go well, all the sudden it’s “well we played a lot of freshmen. How could you expect anything more out of them?!?”
