I dont ever remember having two 2 stars this early

I agree it is still very early. While they are 2 stars on rivals now..they could become 3 stars or drop to 1 stars. Who knows?? Just have to trust the coaches evaluation.

So is this Rivals actual rating or just the place holder for a player they have yet to rate. If this is the actual rating is henderson not a 4 star on ESPN and our highest ranking recruit. I do not understand the discrepancy if that is true. You cannot be that far off on the same recruit.

Henderson and Blanc will not be 2 stars.

While they ARE rated as 2 stars now...that could very well change. In my years following UT and recruiting though I will say I have NEVER heard a fan talk about how a commitment is really over rated and should not be rated so high if they are a commitment to their school. I do find it funny how everyone always says the kid is under rated and should be higher....ya never hear them say lower. :eek:lol:

That is unless they commit somewhere else..then they are always over rated.

If you're gonna be concerned with getting 2 stars, I'd be more concerned with getting them late than early.

If you get a 2 star late, they have played their senior season (still doesn't mean that they will be scrubs, as Crump is on the road to proving.)

It seems odd that there is such a discrepancy in the rating of Henderson.

It's fairly possible you even don't remember 10 years ago. Most folks can hardly remember anything before they start school.

Does that mean Crump is proving he is or isn't a scrub?

Henderson will be 4 star when its said and done, Blanc will be a 3. Stars dont matter, both are good talents. Coaches want them here for a reason.

That's what happens when a kid doesn't camp everywhere under the sun and plays for a relatively no-name high school.

Blanc may never get a bump in rankings because of where he plays and the fact he committed so early.

Look at a guy like Christian Harris. Commits early and no one from the recruiting sites really pays him any attention after that.

I'm beyond shocked about Henderson...after everything that Farrell and Niebuhr have said about him...

I'm seriously considering cancelling my subscription and completely ignoring Rivals from now on

Henderson and Blanc will not be 2 stars.

Well Blanc may stay put because most of his success will be against Knoxville talent or lack there of. So recruiting services hardly reward with stars for these kids. Plus a ton of his success is predicated on special teams play as an athlete. I personally don't mind all our commits being 2 stars, for a couple reasons. 1.Obviously they get that chip on shoulder to prove folks wrong. 2.Those schools that don't do much evaluating that they go after kids based on recruiting rankings, means they will pass over kids that are serviceable.

What are we up to now, 75% of the class should be bumped up a rating.

I don't even pay attention to Rivals evaluations anymore. They've gotten so much worse the past few classes.

It's tough to follow how things change on here. A month ago most said Rivals is the only service worth anything when it comes to evals. Most said the only class ranking that matters is rivals. Now that Blanc and Henderson come out with 2 star ratings....Rivals sucks and is the worse service out there. A month ago ESPN was considered the worst service.....now all a sudden I get the feeling they are the best as they rated our commitments higher.

the gator website i subscribe to actually did something i think is pretty cool.

they came up with a list of the top 300 prospects by using an average between scout, rivals, 247, and espn.
