I've been on Twitter, VN, and VQ religiously since Wilcox/Sirmon left. The first thing I do when I wake up is check twitter to see if anything has happened and continue this constantly throughout the day. It's beginning to stress me out and I'm sure some of you feel the same way. I'm going to try my best to stay away from the situation. Probably won't work.

Little Vol Daddy....you are not alone. I need a 12 step program to cure my volnation and twitter addictions. My daughter told me I needed to go to Tweet Hab. I am backing away from the screen in 3...2...see I could leave, but I'll just be back for NSD. I am a mom and a wife and let me tell you....the laundry is piling up, the frig is bare and don't even ask me about explaining to my kids that Mom's late to pick you up from school because she was refreshing the chat boards for news of the dc hire.

I'm getting that way. I can understand the desire to keep things close to the vest. However, at what point does the secrecy begin to be a negative thing for the program and the perception surrounding it? I thought things couldn't get worse but if the program announces a DC that's not CRS without UT or Shannon announcing he won't be taking/interested in the job then I will lose all faith in Hart and Dooley to properly ad logically handle a situation like this.

Some people don't understand how much thought go into the PR for situations like this. If they jack this up that bad then all hope in my heart will be lost. To add, I am currently a big Hart fan and a Dooley supporter.

You are saying it isn't Randy Shannon? And why did somebody "like" this?

From what i know about the hiring practice of UT after following the program since the 70's, is the highest profile guy we have ever hired is Johnny Majors and thats in any position. When everyone on here has been throwing out the big fish candidates, i have ben saying expect the jerry green hire. You know when he was hired everyone said "who the hell is jerry green?" Hope i'm wrong but the track record speaks for itself.

But you can't stay away, none of us can. It's harder to quit VN than it is to quit smoking cigarettes. Fact.
