I don’t understand you. You are the type who would jump all over someone for saying “Mississippi State could be tough” on Friday and then will whine equally hard about someone discussing the team’s performance objectively.

This was a bad performance from Tennessee today. Josh Heupel and all the pass catchers (aside from Brazzell) were really bad today. We won anyway. We should be able to discuss the truth.

I agree that we were not as sharp as we expected {wanted} to be; however we still won the game and live to take advantage of the open week to prepare for the second half of the season. As the team’s health improves, so will team play. I believe Alabama has improved, but we will still beat them in their backyard.

All I remember is down 7 in the 4th with time running out our QB led the team down the field going 6 for 6, receivers made great catches and the backs ground out key 1st downs. Then the long run for a TD in overtime. The rest I forgot about.

Be thankful and shut up. Yes we need to improve in certain areas but in the past CJH would lose these type games but today we won. That’s called improvement!

I’m hearing callers on the Tony Basilio show calling for CJH’s head. This is ridiculous. Those are the extreme folks but still the sentiment of whining about everything.

Tennessee proved they never give up. JA is a fighter and a great leader!

I am a typical bipolar Vol fan. When it appears they are losing I turn the TV off and go feed the chickens! Basically yesterday was typical VOL SEC football. Every game with a decent SEC team will be an ordeal and a slugfest. The only difference is we win most of them now instead of losing them like 10 years ago. We had great plays and sorry plays but the team prevailed. We might have been overconfident since we had such an easy time with teams with lower grade talent. I don't know how many wins we will have. We just need to take it week by week and celebrate our toughness. I love the "fireman" and tough gamer mentality!

I would bet (pun very much intended) that many were angry because we didnt cover for the second week in a row. We won a very exciting game, but that isn't enough for some. As far as I know, a one point victory has the same meaning as a 100 point victory. They both show as the same W on the record. Again, we are 3 and 1, not 1 and 3.

Had not thought about that but you make a good case for some of the complainers. I have always thought the biggest negas were people who never played or coached the game and cannot provide any credible comments to back it up because they don't understand players can't make a great play every down and coaches make mistakes to. They are also probably texting people and posting on other threads. Put your phones down and Watch the dang game. We looked ugly at times, but we won. Your wife probably looks a little rough in the mornings sometimes, I hope you don’t post it somewhere. Stop all the crying and just say Go Vols! It is only a game. A close friend of mine is a huge Alabama fan. They were celebrating the win over Georgia last night when the phone started ringing. It was a call that one of their friends just lost a 20 year old son in an accident. Life is too short to be so bitter. Repent now fir the Day of the Lord is near!

You nailed it. It’s gambling culture now. Folks better quit playing with their money like that. All my pals do it but I never could understand wagering what I worked hard for on something I have no influence over.

We’re all grown at the end of the day so do what you will I suppose.

I totally think Hype did a very poor job of clock management on our last drive in regulation. But at the same time I rather have Hype here than any other coach. He was playing not to lose, we could have possibly won the game in regulation without going to ot. Of course this is just my opinion. Go Vols.

Tennessee,MissSt, Bama and Georgia all had WR’s drop wide open touchdown passes yesterday. I have seen 3-4 today in the pro’s. Same with missed tackles. It happens, the key is to keep getting better. Every game is different, matchups are different. Consistency and improvement and focus one at a time is key. When your winning working on getting better is much easier. Football is a tough game, it isn’t always pretty on any level. Things are rarely as good or bad as folks make them out to be. As for the Vols, they just need to stay focused and work like all get out to keep improving. We can’t take anyone for granted but we must have the confidence that we can beat anybody if we play our best. GBO!!!!!
